This deli-inspired chain of restaurants soon became a hit in the Indian market, catering to the well-travelled palates with classic European fare. There must be several outlets of Indigo Delicatessen all over Mumbai but the one at Fatima Villa, Pali Hill in Bandra West is the most charming one. The place is marked on every Mumbaiker’s go to list. It’s their place to escape when they want to unwind over wine with good friends.
Indigo Delicatessen believes in good wholesome food, especially if it’s European. The fare is scrumptious and mouth-watering, crafted precisely to complement there rustic chic ambience. They even do custom party menus if you want them to cater your house party. Save appetite before you go there, there is just so much on offer. Dig into their European and Continental spread starting with, lemon butter calamari, quiche, beer batter-fried vegetables, Bombay chicken wings, cheese fondue, fish & chips, Deli BBQ pork ribs and Deli fried chicken. Take your evening to the next level with few mains such as, risotto of wild mushrooms & red wine, 3 smoked peppers & 3 cheese wafer thin pizza, BBQ pulled pork burger, bagel & lox sandwiches, farfalle with three mushroom ragout, chorizo & scamorza pizza and beef tenderloin burger.
Leaving without relishing some of their desserts would be a sacrilege. Dig into their, chocolate mud cake, lemon meringue pie, plum & almond tart, croissant pudding with bourbon sauce, apple pie, brownie vs cheesecake and a low sugar dessert, just ask your server. The interiors of Indigo Delicatessen are simply but fetchingly decorated. Deep curvy booths and sleek corner tables are added to the scene along with some chalkboards displaying the day to day specials menu. The tea cup booths are the best seats in the house, if you are so lucky to find one vacant. Sit outside if the weather behaves. Though Indigo Delicatessen is a little heavy on pockets, it still is a marvellous place to frequent with friends or family.
