This seafood restaurant chain first opened near Kamala Mills and from the start was a hit with the ad agency folks who worked nearby. Since then it has opened a number of branches across the city. There is no uniformity to the look of the outlets. While most are air-conditioned, some like the one at Bandra’s Pali Naka aren’t. The Jai Hind outlets are typically small ones, with cramped seating and are usually crowded at meal times. The reasonably priced seafood here is the biggest draw. The menu is eclectic and on a given day you might find a Malvani curry coexisting with a Parsi patrani machhi and Keralite ishtew and a Bengali mustard curry!
