Le Pain Quotidien, or LPQ as it is commonly called, translates into ‘the daily bread’, which is apt as this café churns out excellent breads and pastries, especially their croissants. The light, wooden furniture and ample natural light at all their outlets makes this a casual yet inviting restaurant. The most popular dish on their menu is their tartines or open sandwiches but they also serves soups, salads and mains. They also have a lot of daily specials, so check with the server in case you want something different from the main menu.
Great place with a lot of natural light for a breakfast meeting. The portion sizes were decent and the meal leisurely. We had shakshuk and a rice bowl with greens and avocado The macchiato was good. The food was a tad salty.
We visited here as a part of Valentine's Day experience offered by Wowtables. It was a set 4 course menu at a fixed price. I had to reschedule twice, and hence reached late. However, the concierge was kind enough to give us a good seat near the window! So, thumbs up to that! The set menu had 4 course options, soup, appetiser, mains and dessert, accompanied by a glass of Sangria. We liked all of them. Details follow: Soup: They had only one option available. Soup of the day was good, portion size could have been better Appetiser: We orders smoked chicke tartine, which was essentially a smoked chicken piece over cheese and multigrain bread. It was very good. The flavor of the cheese was excellent. Smokiness of the chicken was absent though.. Mains: We had one each of Chilli Lime Basa and Seared Basil Chicken. The fish was well made and had delightful flavour of the sauce. The chicken came on a bed of mashed potatoes and herb sauce. The mashed potatoes were just perfect! We enjoyed both the dishes very much Dessert: Standard apple crumble with vanilla icecream. Crumble was good, ice cream lacked flavor Drinks: We had red wine sangria and homemade lemonade. The latter was just amazing. sangria was okayish, with one slice each of apple and orange. nothing to write home about. Service could have been better. The servers had sullen faces and our orders took quite some time to reach our table. Overall, we were more than happy with our lunch date, would definitely visit again.
Met up with friends for brunch...Ambience is nice... Although food could be better and found it to be little expensive.... French toast and the milkshakes were good...But the waffles and breads from the bread basket were dry...Egg dishes were decent...
Nice view of the street, sit and enjoy the views. great food, loved the breakfast menu and side dished
Good ambience Aesthetically designed Good food Warm service Value for money What else do you need? 😊 My only point is on a Sunday evening, most of their desserts were over and that wasn’t a good show! :( I had coconut flan, it was fantastic! Salad was very nice. Stroganoff and the health drink were good too!
