Inspiration comes from various sources, but Old Wild West, a restaurant in Kamala Mills that is already flooded with restaurants and cafés, is quite unlike any other. The entire space is built to look like a tavern in Texas in the middle of nowhere: brown tables and walls, a long well-lit bar, open space that doubles up as a dance floor, and servers all dressed up in cowboy boots, denims and hats! The food served here is only Tex-Mex and includes a full meal along with drinks.
Good place to visit after a hectic day at work. The food is very good. Ambiance is great with some bang in music. Staff very polite and courteous.
Well the title says it all. The place is pretty cozy and has a dance floor too. If Bollywood music is something that you love, then this is where you need to be.
We, my husband and I, went for dinner. We were among the first customers at 8 pm! Here's my review: Ambience: The ambience is very nice if you like wild west ambience. Very tastefully done. There is a selfie wall complete with cowboy hats and guns and a huge sheriff's badge! The walls look like leather... There's also a rodeo bull if you want to ride it. Music:The choice of music was really good. However, we found it too loud. We couldn't hold a conversation at all! We were shouting across the table! Starters: We ordered spicy grilled prawns and chicken tenders. The prawns were very flavourful and tasty though I found them spicy. But I guess that was our mistake... we didn't ask them to tone it down. But I'm glad I ordered the prawns; they were that good. The chicken tenders were so-so. Main course: We ordered a New york style grilled chicken sizzler. It was a really really tiny portion and not so yummy either. Everything on the plate tasted the same and the sauce was nothing to write home about. I would have liked to see more of lamb and pork dishes on the menu which were missing. What's a western restaurant without lamb or pork dishes? Loved the menu design. It was designed so well like a bill from an old Western town! Even the signs for the toilet are imaginatively(;-)) written to say men to the left and women to the right because women are always right!!! The servers are attentive and helpful. The bill was presented quickly once asked for. May give it one more try.
We really loved the place overall. It was spaced out. Fab dj. Just loved his selection. All of us enjoyed dancing . Food is average. Paneer was super bad. Can't imagine paneer anywhere in mumbai being so hard. Oriental sizzler was the best but very greasy too. Service was too good. Just for music sake and service too , would love to visit again.
Initially we thought the restaurant was closed as it seemed deserted. As it was lunch time we inquired on the buffet and we were assisted in. Due to happy hours, hot drinks was moderately priced. Per person, just one starter ... too small a portion which was a total letdown. Main course, taste was very nice but all were chicken dishes in non veg. Fish, eggs and mutton items were missing. Dessert again just one option. Ambiance and service was well worth.
Mumbai has become fascinated with themed restaurants. The city has become receptive to several eateries and bars that display unique striking themes to pull the patrons in. The list keeps getting longer and longer as more and more bars are transforming themselves into trendier attractive versions of themselves. Attention grabbing themes are the way to go, which is why one more bar joined the bandwagon. With ‘Old Wild West’ you can experience the cactus-strewn lands of the West through this Lower Parel bar. The bar is situated on the first floor of Trade View Building on Senapati Bapat Marg, a locality heavy with trendy hip eateries. Old Wild West is a great place to have a small get together with friends or spend your Saturday night binging with colleagues.
Drink a few rounds before beginning with the chomp spread. Old Wild West tempts you with a full-fledged bar menu, which brims with an extensive range of liquors. Get your buzz through gin, beer, rum, vodka, whisky, tequila or wines. We recommend you to taste some of their Mexican cocktails however. Cow Boy will go wonderfully with the theme. Soak up all that booze with the bar’s eclectic nibbles. Tuck into, Mexican chicken wings, pahadi paneer tikka, spicy garlic prawns, Korean spice chilly potato, south style fish crackers, Texas style buttermilk onion rings, Texan chicken tenders, Indian chicken seekh kebab, Keralian style chicken 65 and tex mex BBQ chicken tacos. Take care of any leftover hunger pangs with Old Wild West’s main course. Eat, Italian penne napoletana, southwest chicken quesadilla, Mexican cottage cheese steak sizzler, grilled fish with lemon butter sauce and Cajun chicken & prawns pasta.
Menu is pretty fulfilling, take your time with it. Do your sweet tooth a favor by indulging it in a variety of sweets. Enjoy eggless chocolate fudge cake, Mexican spice fudge brownie and classic double ka meetha. Interiors of Old Wild West is like a western tavern, only much more stylish and fancier. You would love the earthy wooden décor glamourized with modern lights, mechanical bull and a long glowing bar that is the focal point of the room. A network of slim wooden trellis hangs overhead like a pergola. Sit for hours on plush leather sofas. Walls are plastered with western-themed wallpaper and odd curios. Without being too pricey, Old Wild West leaves you impressed.
