This Pune-based restaurant chain originally opened near Mumbai University’s Kalina campus in Mumbai and has spread to a few more branches since. The seating is Spartan and the outlets are usually crowded. The prices are fairly reasonable which makes the place popular. This is a vegetarian chain. It is one of the very few newly-opened restaurants in Mumbai to offer Maharashtrian food. The Maharashtrian food is of the Puneri style from Pune, the erstwhile capital of Maharashtra. They also offer Punjabi, South Indian and Chinese and don’t be surprised to see more people eating these than the Maharashtrian dishes. Potoba means ‘pet pooja’ or feast in Marathi.
