An awesome view on 18th floor of westin goregaon( which itself is a trendy hotel of Mumbai) is one experience while having buffett at seasonal tatstes. U get an awesome feel of Mumbai with lush greenery on one side and the buzzing western expressway on another. The food was awesome. They took very good care of us. A shout out to all the guys including Narendra who went out of his way to get us omlettes which was not part of the menu. Chicken wings was super good. As was halwa. The end desserts with wide range of delicacies was super climax to a great movie. Speaking of which u also get movie stars, we saw sajid khan who was cordial. Cheers guys... Keep it up
I visited the restaurant after a year and was pleasantly surprised to see standards have been maintained well. While food may be good in most restaurants, I was impressed mostly by the quality of service. Most hospitable of the staff was Manager Ashish Srivastava. In a stay of 12 days, I never saw him once lose his cool, even on days with large turnout of guests, most of them trooping in minutes short of closing time. Each request of mine was met with a smile and prompt compliance. Impeccably turned out in a suit, I noticed he never hesitated even to clear the plates, which he could easily have ordered his subordinates to do. As a team leader I saw he led by example when it came to hard work. Chef Nalli Srinivas mingled freely with guests when he could take a breather, with an open mind to their feedback and suggestions. I was also impressed by youngsters Swastik Shetty, Narendra Badoni and Rishab Gehlot, each of them exuding energy and enthusiasm through long hours and rigorous work.
It has a good variety of local and international food, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is a nice yet casual place, which makes you feel very at ease and comfortable. Also offers a good view of Mumbai. The service is friendly.
Exceptional spread at Breakfast and All day Dinning with the most amazing Briyani and Butter Chicken in this part of Mumbai Indian snacks and sweets are totally mind blowing Kudos to the dedicated team of Chefs and Service Staff who are committed to each and every guest's request and preference My go-to restaurant in Mumbai - always Thank you
For the suburban dwellers, Westin is a good bet to relax or dine in luxury. As it is based at Goregaon it is easily accessible to residents upto Borivli/Dahisar at the Northern end and Andheri at the Southern end. Not as highly priced as the five star restaurants around Andheri, Westin is a welcome respite to luxury diners in the suburbs. Well, almost. Having read good reviews on Seasonal Tastes, its 18th floor restaurant I decided to try this one out first. It is multi-cuisine restaurant which offers more options for safe players. My needs are basic and so simple treats satisfy my palate as any other. Given the wet weather, I thought that Chilgoze shorba soup would help. It did, what with pine nuts to add to its taste and flavor. The good thing about Seasonal Tastes is that it affords you plenty of time to catch up on chats with a fellow diner. Since this was my first meeting with a colleague, the long serving gaps did help! One for light snacks, I went along with moong bhari tikki which was dipped and deep fried in what seemed like tapioca pearls (or sabudana in local lingo). More than the tikkis, I thoroughly enjoyed and cleaned up the accompanying dip. Tempered curd, made by seasoning curry leaves with cumin and chilli and then adding it to beaten curd. To offset the somewhat bland taste of the tikki, I ordered for paneer tikka done in red spicy masala and accompanying green chutney. To serve as a wholesome meal, I ordered for some naan with a generous spread of butter. The tab was pretty steep but given the ambience and some fringe benefits, it was worth a good dining experience. A seasonal experience.
