This was quite a revolutionary Malvani restaurant of the time when it was launched in 1982. Unlike most other Malvani restaurants, Sindhudurg was air-conditioned right from the beginning and had an extensive menu unlike others which offered a limited daily menu. It offers, even today, one of the cleanest and most comfortable settings to enjoy a Malvani meal in. Must tries here are the Bombay Duck and prawn fries, the teesriya (clam) masala, the spicy surmai (kingfish) or pomfret curries and the kombdi vade (chicken with local Malvani puris).
