The unassuming entrance to this chic and casual restaurant with contemporary French décor can be a bit misleading. Upon entering this place one is transported to a home which exudes warmth in abundance. The two seating sections are elegant and spacious and the lounge area, perfect for relaxation. The bar area too offers a cosy ambience. Parisian Chef Alexis Gielbaum’s carefully curated menu showcases small plates of classic French cuisine with a twist. The food is aesthetically presented and the flavours are authentic. The touch of modernity in the food enhances the experience, nowhere robbing these of their classic aura. Try the Seared Scallops, with a perfect texture, served with bacon, caramelised onion and whisky cream. The Citrus-Cured Gravlax is a treat for seafood lovers as the delicate flavours of the fish are astutely handled by the chef. The Glazed Parsnip with fresh mangoes took me by surprise. The 36-Hour Belgian Pork Belly will mesmerise any carnivore. Chef’s signature dessert Paris Brest with a choux pastry, praline mousse and rum ice cream, is a must-have. The service staff is articulate and warm.
