The fun vibe and bonhomie is unmistakable. The décor is familiar as it is consistently the same in all the outlets. The menu is comforting as one is well-versed with the offerings. Typical Parsi home-style food is what one can enjoy here. The bar menu is equally impressive. The Chicken Farcha ensures one is off to a good start. The Boneless Fried Chicken pieces simply melt in the mouth. The Mutton Dhansak strangely disappoints as it is a watered down version of the original dish and extremely low on dhana-jeera too. The Prawn Patio, Tareli Macchi and Pav, combo meal more than makes up. The fresh prawns laced with the tomato-based tangy gravy are lip-smacking. The Tareli Machi comprising big chunks of rawas, is well-spiced and baked to perfection. Pork lovers can gorge upon Goan Sausage Maka Pav or even Bacon Kheema Macaroni. The Bohri Keema Pav And Salli Chicken here are a must try. Vegetarians need not despair as there is enough for them on the menu. Round off your meal with the Apple Crumble With Vanilla Custard. The service staff is warm and helpful.
Think of all the old Parsi joints in the city like Britannia, Cafe Military, Ideal Cafe; raise the ambience to a higher level, add a DJ & music and you have SodaBottleOpenerWala - a modern Parsi joint. The dishes are pretty decent if you like Parsi food. The price is on the higher side and the music did get a tad too loud at night.
Long name for a restaurant, but enjoyed the food here, had the Bacon vada pav – which was amazing, the berry pulav went well with the Chicken Saali and the Mutton Dhansak is not to be missed – its served along with rice and kachumber salad. The overall ambiance takes one back to the old Iranian restaurants of the past but with a few contemporary elements.
If you want to eat authentic Parsi food in a different style this is the place for you. Food combinations are really good. Ambiance of the place will make you feel like you are sitting in some old south Mumbai restaurant. It gives you proper feel of Parsi restaurant. Foods are served in a very different way. I ordered a meal and got it served in a three tier lunch box. It made me so surprised to see such wonderful execution. There is an in-house live DJ also which plays bollywood music in weekend nights where you can shake your legs.
Good ambiance, irani restaurant like look, good food to satisfy your taste. Off course the recipies need improvement to reach good authentic taste level, but good effort and am sure will improve
Good food, nice decor yet not worth the cost! Compared to the other Parsi food joints that are quite popular in the city this is not the value for money kind of place. But love the lively ambiance and the variety in music!! The menu card offers variety and the presentation of the dishes are interesting. Nice place to hangout with friends.....if you are not planning to talk much, the music is a tad bit too loud!
