This tastefully decorated restaurant with contemporary design elements and a snazzy showpiece bar lays equal emphasis on food. The multiple seating areas are well-laid out and the earthy hues, lend a warm touch. The exhaustive food menu with wholesome Indian food is an ode to the spice turmeric, used across cuisines. The offerings are mainly from Northern and Southern India, although most of the States are represented on the menu. Vegetarian options abound. Start with the tart and tangy, 'Benarasi Pakoda Chaat' or a 'Meen Pollichathu'. For mains, try the 'Rajasthani Lal Maas' or a 'Mangalorean Kozhi Ghee Roast with Pesarattu'. The 'Keema Appam' is also worth-a-try. Vegetarians must try the spicy 'Malabar Theeyal' or 'Kairy Ki Bhindi'. Each dish is an explosion of flavours, colours and textures. No attempt has been made to modernise the Indian classics and that is what sets it apart. The food is hearty, unpretentious and the portions generous. The ‘Halwa of the Day’ must not be missed. The staff is well-trained, equipped to give recommendations and the service exemplary. If in a large group, opt for the ten-foot-long terrazzo communal table at the centre.
