A second outpost of the hugely popular restaurant in Goa, the characteristic turquoise blue and white décor, rustic furniture and bric-a-bracs are unmistakably familiar. This Greek taverna is redolent with a happy vibe. The seating area is vast with a large indoor area and an equally relaxed outdoor seating space. The menu boasts of founder and head chef, Mariketty Grana’s signature food using family recipes. Replete with meat and sea food dishes, there are ample choices for vegetarians too. The ‘Bespoke to Thalassa’ section in the bar menu is undoubtedly the highlight. Fresh and authentic ingredients are the hallmark of the food which is low on spice quotient but extremely flavourful. The portions are hearty and justify the pricing. The pita and tzatziki are the perfect way to start. Light and creamy, this dip has subtle flavours and offers a nice bite. Spicy mushroom saganaki, lamb mousaka, prawns pastitisada with spaghetti, are eternally popular. Sipping a mykonos blue cocktail and relishing a leisurely meal here is the best way to enjoy Thalassa.
