This gastro pub lives up to its motto of good food, good spirit and good vibes. It's not entirely surprising that this is a popular spot as it's run by the same folks that launched Trilogy, a very successful nightclub. The crowd comes here to let their hair down, relax and have a good time. Wooden panelling and furniture with a long bar, chandeliers and a wall sketch mural with superheroes (seems slightly out of place here) make up the interiors. In addition to food and drinks, there are some cheekily named cocktails like the 'Wolf of BKC', 'Mrs. Robinson', 'Fifty Shades of Green' and the signature 'The Good Wife ' cocktail on the menu - all of which are frequently ordered.
It was on my list for long. Went there last week to chill out. Found it average - the most disappointing was that when we ordered their signature cocktail - the Good Wife - they pleaded having run out of its most important ingredient i.e. Campari. And it was not very late in the evening when one could have excused for this out of stock display. Anyway, otherwise the bar options are wide but food options are limited, it being Italian restaurant. Overall, an average restaurant but much hyped about
It was my second visit to Good wife recently with a friend in BKC . The ambience is normally restrained but classy . The food is not only plated to make you salivate , but , also very delicious . Started with a carrot fennel soup and some garlic bread . Followed by Thai green curry and Thai grilled chicken . Outstanding .
The place and feel is really good but the staff is really slow and confused. We generally go with Family or for client meetings and find it really nice.
We booked the place for 15 people for 25th Jan for an official event around 15-20 days back. The management confirmed the reservation for 15 people. We announced the venue to our guests and everything was planned accordingly. But, on 25th morning, we received the call that they have received a booking for the larger group and hence, they will not be able to accommodate us anymore. We tried to explain to them the situation that we have already announced and everything has been arranged accordingly. But, the manager simply said he can't do anything in this. In fact, he asked us to go to their Lower Parel restaurant if we want to. We had to find the new venue on an urgent basis, communicate about the new venue to all the guests, put a guy outside their restaurant to redirect the guests to the new venue in case of miscommunication, and shift all our efforts to the new venue.
On a weekday, music was soft enough to allow conversation over dinner. Food presentation was good. The staff was helpful and offered customised food with Jain options.
Gastropubs never go out of style as they satisfy both the urgings of a tippler and a foodie very well. Their general good vibe and combination of a food heavy menu with a great booze spread, keeps the diners in high spirits. It’s the reason why they are so popular with the tipplers and gourmets alike. Since Mumbaikars have gained a taste for these funky gastropubs, they have come to love one place in particular. Known as ‘The Good Wife’, this pub is making noise on Mumbai’s party scene for all the right reasons. The Good Wife is a trendy happening place where tipplers of all ages go to for a relaxing time with friends. The vibe is lively and exciting. Find out what the fuss is all about by driving down to Bandra Kurla Complex and check out The Good Wife by yourself.
Living up to the gastropub motto of good food, The Good Wife takes special care with its menu. Expect to see an extensive menu bursting with mouth-watering European delicacies, which is backed by a lovely bar menu crammed with all sorts of impressive booze labels. If you have an inclination, try their mind-blowing cocktails. They are potent on your palette and are tagged under an interesting name. The office gigolo, aunty maggy, ninja tasha, French 75, the good wife and Mrs. Robinson are some of their best. Pair them with a smorgasbord of nibbles such as, chicken gyoza, truffle fries, peri peri calamari, tamarind chilli spiced cottage cheese, pulled pork sliders and forest mushroom filo wontons. Any leftover appetite could be pacified with, colonel pepperoni pizza, three peppercorn chicken, fresh spinach fettuccini, anise rubbed rawas, baked lobster tail and three mushroom ravioli.
Buffet is also a great way to sample all that The Good Wife has to offer. Round off your evening with a course of delectable desserts. The pub presents, chocolate fondant, vanilla pannacotta, salted caramel crème brulee, toffee pudding, rosemary & apple pie, dulce de leche & Nutella cheesecake, the chocolate mistress and bailey’s white chocolate & pistachio mousse. To keep the punters entertained the pub organizes fun live music gigs and sports screening. Interiors are stylish and yet casual. Heavy wooden finishes are beautifully contrasted with the use of bright colored couches, pop arts and modern light fixtures. The effect is quite lovely and chic. Although, some might find The Good Wife a bit pricey.
