This tiny but clean eatery with a few tables is more of a delivery and takeaway joint but of course popular with late night revellers as it is open until the wee hours of the morning. The menu is extremely limited, but enough to satiate hunger pangs- both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Sadly, the ‘melange’ element in the food is what robs it of hearty and robust Indian flavours else it could have been a dhaba-esque experience. The food is served in disposable tableware and is almost like being on a flight. The Paneer Pataka sounds exciting but lacks the punch. The texture of the paneer is rubbery too. In the mains, Yenna Bowl with chicken chunks in a spicy gravy served with masala rice salvage the taste buds for a bit. The Haryali chole from the ‘curry and rotis’ section are acutely disappointing as there are few pieces of overcooked chana in a green spinach gravy. The Laccha Paratha is chewy and the dal fry insipid. For those seeking a quick bite, Chicken Bhuna Pav is an option. There are wraps on offer as well. Pudina Chaas, Imli Mojito, Rose Lassi are some of the beverage offerings. The staff is clueless about the menu but exceedingly polite and warm.
A place which serve marvelous north indian food with love of mother specifically known as mother recipes food.Quite lovely Ambience, with walls with painting of indian map, their specialties by chef, and some beautiful interiors. My recommendation : Andhra Tawa Fish Kolhapuri Chicken Tikka Paneer Rogan Josh Bhurji All the desserts ,specially Berry Rasmalai. Read my blog post to know my full experience of what all I tried and the description of each dish there.

Umraan Regional is a cozy little place located right across Breadkraft in Pali Hill, Bandra. Umraan Regional has been revamped with new menu offering signature dishes from various parts of India. We had the following dishes: •Cola Pataka- 3/5 It’s a cola based drink which has been fused with Indian flavours to give the regular Cola taste with Chatpata Pataka. •Lassi- 5/5 Lassi is a classic beverage which is an all time favourite for us due to its simplicity. •Aloo Sukkha- 3/5 Potato was served in a dry coconut preparation in Mangalorean style. •Chicken Chettinad Tikka- 5/5 Classic Chicken Tikka in Chettinad Masala was little spicy but delicious and properly cooked. •Chicken Sukha Wrap- 5/5 We had the Chicken Sukha Wrap in Whole Wheat Base. This Wrap was delicious and healthy and a good meal replacement for people who are looking to eat something fast without compromising their diet! •Paneer Rogan Josh- 5/5 This was the classic Paneer Bhurji in Rogan Josh Masala from Kashmir! This was the best Dry Paneer Main Course we ate in a long time and tastes good with Garlic Kulcha which is fluffy and buttery. •Chicken Bengali Curry- 3/5 It was boiled chicken in Bengali Spices. •Belgian Chocolate Phirni & Berry Rasmalai - 5/5 Belgian chocolate Phirni and Berry Rasmali cannot be simply explained through words, it’s a unique fusion of desserts which is exciting and delicious! We recommend you to try their Chicken Chettinad Tikka, Lassi, Sukkha Chicken Wrap, Paneer Rogan Josh with Garlic Kulcha and their unique fusion desserts (Berry Rasmalai and Belgian Chocolate Phirni).
My friends have been boasting about Umraan Regional since long. Their talks always tempted me to go have a meal there. Finally on a Friday, I visited them for lunch. It's located on Pali Hill road. It's basic function is as a QSR but they have a small dine in of 5 tables. The good part about them is they are open till the wee hours of 4am so all the late night cravings are satisfied easily. They have revamped their menu about 2 months back and they have cuisines ranging from all over India. For the beverages, we tried the Pataka Cola which is Coke with jeera masala and chaat masala. The best partner for any food item. Also the Chaas and Aam Panna is good. Coming to the food, we wanted to try different regions to get a hang of everything. Kothimbir Wadi : An all time snack in the Maharashtrian household, it has become a favorite among people of all religion. The Kothimbir wadi is made of besan or gram flour and added spices and green leafy veggies in it. Shaped like a tikka, it's crispy on the outside and very very soft on the inside.Though I would have preferred it to be a little less on the thicker side, it tasted really good. Kolhapuri Chicken Tikka : I could not miss this one. Chicken tikka marinated in red chilli and cooked in tandoor. Garnished with more chilli powder, this is heaven for those who love spicy food. The chicken is cooked to perfection and the smoky flavor really comes through. ** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ** Vegetarian Galouti Kebab : A 10/10 for this dish. This is my favorite and very very very favorite dish here. This coming from a non vegetarian, it is the best vegetarian Galouti Kabab I have ever had. Made with mashed lentils and infused with a smoky flavor, it literally melts in the mouth. ** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ** Mains : Wazwani Marchwangan Murgh : A delicacy home to Kashmir, it's a rich dish with chicken cooked in Kashmiri spices and coriander leaves and green chillies. It's a spicy dish, tastes best with Malabari Paratha. The chicken was beautifully cooked, shredded easily and the spices seeped in really good. Kolhapuri Tambda Rassa : Tambda Rassa is native to Maharashtrian cities like Kolhapur, Nagpur, Nasik etc.. Its usually a little watery and has only spices and flavors in it. Can be eaten with rice or roti. The Tambda rassa here has a thick gravy with chicken pieces in it. The chicken was cooked well and the gravy tasted good. But I was expecting a thinner gravy, and lot of flavors. For those who will try this dish first time, they will like it but it's not the authentic rassa that I have tried in Nasik and Kolhapur. Malabari Paratha : A paratha made of maida, it tastes good with all the gravies. It's my favorite of all times. Cheese and Paneer Stuffed Paratha : I expected this paratha to be heavier but the good thing was it was very light and very tasty. I could eat it with the gravies too. Desserts : Laal Gulla : A redder or rather a pinker version of the Rasgulla, its my favorite. Not too sweet like the regular ones, I could seriously hogg on them. Loved it. Berry Rasmalai : Rasmalai is my favorite. Mixed with berries, it tasted more delicious. They have small pieces inside, and a few berries. The milk is very creamy and very very tasty. ** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ** It's a really good place to enjoy authentic regional cuisines. Staff is friendly, service is quick and is total value for money. I am definitely going back. Keep up the good work...!!
UMRAAN regional is mumbai's first qsr place which serves regional food, the innovative desserts to the best selected regional food is worth a try,you can also bring along ur mom to surprise her by customizing her favourite dishes made by Umraan people. Veg galauti kebabs were just amazing, giving a pure touch of lucknowi kebabs, the melt in mouth kebabs did full justice + the outer layer covered with beetroot was more appealing. Aloo sukha nachni wrap is a healthy option, the nachni roti with aloo masala stuffed had a good taste, they also have lacha paratha wrap as an option. But found it but dry. Paneer rogan josh bhurjee was mixed with kashmiri rogan josh masala which was far better than the normal paneer bhurji you have,it was accompanied with garlic kulcha. I highly recommend Dal Pancharatan with jeera rice, the dal consists of five major chefs spl secret ingredients which was just an extraordinary one. Belgian chocolate phirni-the name says it all,the best phirni till date.LOVED IT. Laal gulla was another bomb dessert which were rasgullas infused with red velvet flavour, you will surely get a one of a kind feeling of this red velvet rasgulla, another super innovation by chef. I would say this restaurant is a unique experience + the quality of the food will remind you of your homemade food with a twist of spl regional dishes as well as the ingredients & masalas.
