Zytun- The Restaurant

Came across this restaurant on Zomato and the estimated time of delivery was quite fast, so I ordered a hyderabadi mutton dum biryani.
Honestly it did not disappoint me even though it was not the authentic Hyderabadi dum biryani because I've on many occasions had the real stuff in Hyderabad.
The biryani was still good, mutton quality was good and the packaging was nice.
Overall a pleasant experience.

I was quiet early at the resturant and I could wait for the buffet service to start so tried the Menu approach and I did not regret it.
I ordered pepper chicken, Roti, Murg Masal, Chicken Biryani.
Biryani was awesome. I would definetly try it again on next visit.

After a really long time I have actually enjoyed eating biryani, there was right amount of fragrance along with caramelized onions and tender chicken not just chicken and rice. The starters are really good as well, they carry the characteristic smoky taste of tandoor plus the juiciness. I will definitely be visiting again.

°°°ZYTUN°°°
Yesterday hit this place for dinner. It's in marol.
Ambience is amazing. Above the restaurant there is Hotel.
It was raining outside and the dinner gave perfect moment to us.
So, we started with mocktails,

° Zytun special mocktail - it was mixed fruits based mocktail.

° Sunlight - it was orange - pineapple based mocktail. It was so refreshing.

° Tangri Kebab - It was chicken leg piece baked in tandoori, was looking tempting. It tasted good.

° Pahadi Kebab - I literally loved this. The color, texture, taste. Everything was just perfect. One should definitely try this.

° Murgh Maharaja - it was in main course we order this with tandoori roti.
The gravy was thick and chicken pieces was more than enough. Taste was awesome.

° Fresh Fruit Salad - it was like normal fruit salad with ice cream on top of it. However presentation took my heart.

° Malai kulfi - its my favorite one. I can't say NO to malai kulfi ever. There was chocolate syrup on it which was also impressive.

**Recommended**
° Sunlight.
° Pahadi Kebab.
° Murgh Maharaja.
° Malai Kulfi.

Zytun - The Restaurant

You may find the road to reach the restaurant bit crowded and the parking space seemed a bit congested.
The restaurant is part of Hotel Metropolis Mumbai on Marol-Maroshi Road (Andheri).

Ambience: The ambience of the restaurant was good, the lighting was decent and the restaurant is medium sized.

Staff: The staff was polite.

Food: We had ordered the Chicken Manchow Soup. The soup was bit salty but it tasted nice with good amount of chicken in it. We had also ordered Chicken Clear Soup which was very well prepared. Following that we were served - Chicken Badami Malai Kebab. It was something new for us and we were trying it for the first time. It was cooked in cream and roasted almonds and it tasted very nice. Highly Recommended. And at the end, we had Chicken Tikka Biryani which also bit salty.

Crowd: Since we had reached the restaurant late (around 10 PM), the restaurant was less crowded. You would find mostly families dinning in here. There are very few good restaurants in this locality, I would recommend to contact the restaurant in advance for reserving table(s) during peak hours (for lunch & especially dinner).

Rating: 4 / 5

We ordered couple of things, crispy chicken, badami murgh malai, butter roti was good. However Murgh mussalam and schezwaan triple rice needs improvement. Cost is on the higher side, Packaged drinking water which costs Rs 20 had been billed for Rs 40. We also had Zytun special ice cream and Icecream sundae which was scoop of ice cream together. The ambience is very good. Staff is responsive & available for quick assistance.

Zytun - Gold restaurant. Total Bill - RS 280 (divided amongst 3 people)

We ordered -
1) Chicken tandoori - 3/5
Taste was great but I've had better tandoori in other places. Small chicken pieces, not huge like a tandoori should be. The green chutney served along side was yum though and really enhanced the flavor of the dish.

2) Chicken Biriyani (RS 280) - 3/5
Tasty biriyani rice but a full bowl of biriyani will get you only 2 chicken pieces, which was not adequate at all. They serve you tons of rice but no chicken to balance it out to presumably save on their costs. It's tasty but if you're a chicken fan more than a rice fan, it's a mediocre dish.

Ambience - wonderful ambience. Very clean and neat, comfortable seating area, well lit, great pristine washrooms. Prompt service and we got our bowl of extra chutney whenever we asked for it.

Overall food - 6/10
Overall ambience - 10/10
Cost total - RS 280 (Gold - one dish was free)

We went here for quick dinner. We ordered pahadi kabab chicken and mutton biryani here.
We were in hurry so asked waiters to prepare quickly and he later came with a suggestion which can be prepared quickly, he was courteous and we really liked the service even , ambience was good here, however, quantity of the product given was less.
