Swaaddesh is a restaurant in Sri Krishna Puri, Patna serving North Indian, Chinese and kebabs. Known for North Indian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

Swadesh Hotel in Patna gives pure Maithili vibes. We tried Litti Chokha and mutton here. The Litti Chokha taste is amazing and truly authentic, but the mutton did not fully meet our expectations. One unique thing about this place is that the tables are arranged based on the districts of Patna, which adds a nice local touch to the overall experience.

Billing staff behaves like ignorant.

My visit to Swaaddesh in Patna was a delightful journey into the heart of Bihari culture and cuisine.

The Ambience: The restaurant's true strength is its immersive, rural Bihar theme. From the traditional Madhubani paintings on the walls to the use of clay serving platters, it creates a wonderfully rustic and photogenic atmosphere. The staff dressed in traditional attire adds a special touch.

The Food: We came for the regional specialties and were not disappointed.

The Sattu Paranthas were perfectly stuffed and incredibly flavorful.

The Litti with Dehati Chicken is a standout and a must-order for its authentic taste.

The Chicken Rara was rich and cooked to perfection.

The Service: The team here is clearly focused on hospitality. The service was attentive, friendly, and delivered with a genuine warmth that made the entire meal feel special. This is the perfect spot for family dinners or for visitors looking to taste authentic Bihari flavors in a memorable setting.
Little bit pricey but worth a try.

Food was good ,we ordered chicken rara and butter naan, service and ambience is so earthly and rural vibe..that's good , everything was on the mark almost but the cost of water in bill, mrp was 25 rupees but they charged 35, when asked, they said apne Swiggy dine out se kiya hai isliye 10 rupees extra lagega, what I'm saying is ,it's not about 10 rupees,but why are you charging above the MRP, it's unethical! It's not mentioned in Swiggy app or on the restaurant menu or anywhere that water shall be charged extra 10, total unethical behaviour!! This one thing ruined the image made by the service and food.

I really wanted to like this place, but it managed to miss the mark at every turn. The service was slow and disorganized, like no one was quite sure who was supposed to be helping which table. We waited forever just to order, and even longer for food that honestly didn’t feel worth the wait.

When it finally arrived, the dishes were lukewarm and bland, as if seasoning was an optional suggestion. Portions were small, prices were big, and the overall experience felt careless. To top it off, the restaurant wasn’t even busy, so there was no obvious excuse.

There are way better options nearby that respect your time, money, and taste buds. I won’t be coming back.

This place was a complete disappointment and honestly felt unsafe to eat at. Beyond the long waits and bland, overpriced food, the restaurant was visibly unhygienic. We saw rats roaming around the floor, which immediately killed any appetite and raised serious health concerns.

The food itself was greasy and unhealthy, with no sign of freshness or care in preparation. On top of that, the staff behavior was shockingly unprofessional—more like a poorly run convenience store than a restaurant. No courtesy, no attention, and no accountability.

Between the cleanliness issues, unhealthy food, and careless service, this is a place I’d strongly recommend avoiding.

Food quality and flavour very good. In patna, it is one of the few which offers this taste. Spacious and photogenic also. Staff behavior is good. Not expensive.

This is actually on of the best restaurants of Patna which gives a fine dine experience.

Tandoor chicken was soft and properly cooked, chicken chilli had a thin coating of corn flour with proper blend of spices. These two items are must try.

Leg kebab masala and rara chicken were another exceptional dishes. The chickens were properly roasted and not boiled.

Presentation was too notch.

Service was again too quality. I don't know the name of the staff but he knew his game properly. He explained about the dishes, and proactively did his task.

Ambience is peaceful mostly focused on Bihar theme.

Overall a must visit restaurant of Patna.
Nobody asked me for review, it's genuinely coming from me.

Was at Swaddesh yesterday for dinner along with family. My review:
Food: 2/5
The food quality was very bad.
Monchow Soup was good, as was crispy baby corn but the portion size was small.
Paneer Tikka was very bad.
Garlic Naan was chewy.
The worst of the lot was Kadhai Paneer which we were not able to even finish and left after first serving as in the photo.
Mix Raita was okaish as I don’t know why it tasted sweet. When asked, they told that they put in sugar into it. My expectation from mix raita was salty.

Ambience: 5/5
Ambience was good. Nice asthetics. Well thought decor.

Service: 3/5
Service was good. It is just that even after telling about the food while eating or even at end, Mr. Sachin and all weren’t even apologetic. Ideally in service industry, when the customer experience is bad, the service providers are apologetic. But here they didn’t care about the feedback.

Value for Money: 2/5
Costly with respect to the food quality. Despite paying this much, we had to had rolls from an outside eatery to fill ourselves.
