Sparkly lights, lots of glass fixtures and wooden benches dominate the spacious décor here, and we would recommend catching a table in the lovely al fresco section. The focus is easily the wonderful craft beers from the in-house brewery – the bitter-fruity Indian Pale Ale, for example, is widely beloved here, as is the lighter hefeweizen (wheat beer). Besides its fixed house beers, the establishment constantly introduces temporary specials, such as a luscious chocolate orange stout, or an intense barleywine ale, aged with bourbon soaked oak chips. You will probably be left focusing on every progressive mugful here thanks to the mind-blowing flavours, but do have a glance at the appetisers as well to go with. The Ethiopian samboosas are a delightful platter of piquant mini samosas, while the Scotch eggs bring you boiled andas wrapped in chicken pâté and crumb-fried. There is cheesy nachos and fajitas, a South Indian-style tenderloin chilli fry, and signature sliders stuffed with a troika of everybody’s favourite meats. The selection of kababs go well with tipple too, such as the melting, well-spiced paneer sheekh, or sarsonwaale jhinga of succulent prawns in a zingy mustard marinade. There is also gunpowder baby potatoes, spicy spinach-cheese-potato ‘cigars’, and the popular chicken satay in the bar bites section. To finish, consider the velvety, rum-soaked dark chocolate soufflé that has to be ordered half an hour in advance.
