A snug café that combines the two magical phenomena of delicious munchies and unending stacks of books, Pagdandi is the perfect haunt for the food-loving bibliophile. After you have picked up a tome from the shelves and settled into a cosy nook, order a hot cup of Kashmiri kahwa or pomegranate green tea with a tinge of kakvi (liquid jaggery) with perhaps a Nutella toast to nibble. If you are looking for something more filling, their specialty herb chilli burger or the innovative chocolate cheese banana sandwich make for substantial snacks. They do a host of cold beverages, among which I loved their rendition of Vietnamese Cà Phê Sữa Đá – think fragrant iced coffee laden with thick and creamy condensed milk that brings a burst of rich sweetness as you take a sip.
