Insider Tips

  • The breakfast here is a favourite with regulars and first-timers alike – think fruit juices, omelettes to your liking, eggs on order, a thrilling variety of eggs benedict, cereals, pancakes, waffles, smoothies, detox shots... we just cannot get enough. And there is a breakfast brunch offer for Rs 300 to boot
  • There is a yummy sizzler menu you should explore if you have the chance – their piquant prawns piri piri with sides (including fried okra) or the surf and turf option with jalapeño and cream cheese are mouth-wateringly hot – quite literally
  • As one of the few watering holes around town that sets up a rather sweet service to make sure no one drinks and drives, this resto offers freebies for those flashing private taxi receipts after a night of boozy indulgence

We do so like the ambience here – one of the few outdoor settings that remains perfect for a chilly winter evening or a languid summer afternoon alike, peppered neatly with wooden tables, flashes of blue in the décor, shady canopies and WiFi service as well. The shrimp and pineapple salad is a good way to enjoy a light meal here, as is the egg currimbhoy salad, replete with lashings of mayo and crispy croutons. A several-pages-long menu of cuisine-specific choices follows. Under Indian, you have an elaborate list of kababs that go well with their formidable bar menu, or shahi paneer, chicken handi, boti gosht or fish moilee to spoon up with heaps of jeera rice. For the orientally inclined, look in the direction of the crispy lamb in schezwan sauce or mixed fried rice. Or, for a no-fuss option, just blindly go with their kheema pao, fondue, nachos, or pastas. Special mention must be made of the Prem’s special meat overload, which basically comes as layers of pasta stuffed with chicken, lamb, sausages, ham and cheese, baked and served with garlic bread – a hearty meal indeed for any self-respecting carnivore. Finish off with a bowl of their banoffee pie, shahi tukda or Celeste Peche, a special dessert combining chocolate and hazelnut dacquoise, chocolate brûlée, Cointreau chocolate cupcake and chocolate chip ice cream – either way, you will be a happy camper.
