One of the first bakery and pastry shops tucked inside the star hotel always has something stellar on offer. The pastry case is loaded with stuff that is good and not so good in excess, yes we mean sugar. On a lighter note, the outside seating amidst the garden and the wooden benches, the feel and vibe of the space is great. The service is spot on and most of your food and beverages are served just under 5 minutes, many of them being pre-made. The menu offers a good mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian grub which is pretty basic but uplifted to set the mood right, more than anything else. The ‘Butter Chicken Kathi Roll’ is something that is unbelievably good, more like the butter chicken is brought from their in-house restaurant and stuffed inside the maida roti. It is served with Mustard and Tomato Sauce on the side but we think it would make a better cut with our desi Mint Chutney. There is no separate dessert menu and what you see on the pastry shelf is what you can get. A lot of it could possibly be sold out if you are here on the latter half of the day. But you will surely manage to get their '60% Dark Chocolate Cake', 'Red Velvet Cake' and some cupcakes on the shelves. The speciality desserts include the ‘White Chocolate Dipped Cheesecake’ that is finished with some shaved coconut and crumble. The cream cheese is nice and fresh and the white chocolate adds a very subtle sweetness to it. Most of the desserts are very well suited with the basic coffee or the teas which are sourced from Assam and Darjeeling. All and all, it is that one place you would want to drive down to, for some sweet cravings and good coffee by the side.
