This rooftop lounge-restaurant has some seriously interesting cocktails – shooters combine gin, clove and cucumber, or white rum, jasmine and pineapple, or tequila, green apple and crushed black pepper. There is also a classic apple martini with oregano, a dill cucumber martini, one with passion fruit and clove, a cosmopolitan with lavender, a mojito with basil and clove, a daiquiri with star anise and litchi, a Cuba libre with hazelnut… the list goes on. The crumbed mushrooms appetizer with chopped jalapenos is yum, as is the prawn tempura with wasabi mayo and kikkoman soya. The chicken-ginger-scallion and prawn-bird’s eye chillies dumplings are bundles of joy, while the calamari salad (crispy squid, asparagus, fennel shavings, eggplant, olive, basil and parmesan in a salsa verde) is mouthwatering. If you get to the mains, the lamb burger with a BBQ-bourbon sauce or leek-spinach risotto are recommended. Finish with soft-crispy, sweet Spanish churros, topped with warm, rich chocolate sauce.
Great place in location, ambience, food, service and price. Always timming with lights with a ready dance floor in the midst of open bar....
Had been to flying saucer few times, had it is so amazing that I do not mind to wait for a while to get a table.it has a roof top bar and restaurant. There is a dance floor on the floor beneath.
Nicely laid out roof top bar with attentive service, good selection of drinks and bar food to go with. Just minutes from the airport makes this a good stop if you the time for a bite or drink before the flight. Finding the place an getting to the bar can be confusing.
A lovely casual evening of conversations, cocktails and food. Both food and drinks were very good. Service was the highlight of the evening.
If you want to have a good Ambiance nd a nice view this place is really good but the staff, they are always in too much hurry they will not let you enjoy properly as they are always trying to send you back as soon as possible I understand if it’s crowded they should, but if only few seats are filled and then also 3-4 waiters are always standing near by u and all the time staring at u to push you to leave the place early. If you want to have only some drinks and a enjoyable moments with friends, I don’t think this place suits to your requirements
Only handful of bars can claim to give their patrons both an impressive bar menu along with a sensational food menu at the same time. Not every bar has the capability to shine through both in their menus and can hardly do justice to their food menu when their entire focus lies in drinks. But we have for you a fabulous bar that doesn’t leave you disappointed on either front and takes care of all your party needs, munchies or booze. ‘The Flying Saucer Sky Bar’ is located in the hip section of Pune i.e. Viman Nagar. Find it on the 9th floor and terrace of Lunkad Sky Vista on New Airport Road, overlooking a great view of the Pune city. This restro-bar is a popular party destination with the local bar hoppers who find the stunning ambience and fab menus too much of an attraction.
As we raved before about the menus of The Flying Saucer Sky Bar, you can have a wonderful time browsing through both. Their bar menu as expected of a good trendy place is fully equipped with all global labels in booze and dishes out quite a heady range of signature drinks. To accompany them nibble on a variety of munchies from Continental, Mediterranean and North Indian selection. Kick-start the night with a calamari salad, prawn sumai, aracini, batata bravas, dahi ke kebab, panko fried fish, mutton shammi kebab, calamari fritti, quesadillas bites, crispy Thai vegetables, prawn bird eye chilli and eggplant chips. Move onto the classic burgers next and follow that with, pastas, pizzas, paneer lababdar, wild mushroom stuffed chicken, jheenga masala, hakka noodles, massaman lamb curry, Thai red chicken curry and Spanish corn crepes.
Finish this gorgeous meal with some sweet tit-bits. Try, gulab jammun, chocolate butter cake w/ chocolate, banoffee pie, Spanish churros and chocolate mousse. Another of Flying Saucer Sky Bar’s strength lies in its spectacular location. A rooftop placement in a hip locality like Viman Nagar is a recipe for guaranteed success. Rooftop is well furnished with bright colour and splashes of coloured lights washes the entire scene in vibrancy. Move downstairs if you want to sit in a more club-like ambience. Interiors are stylish, generously spacious and flooded by sharp yellow light. Overall, Flying Saucer Sky Bar is a trendy place, ideal for a fun night out with friends or a loved one in a glittery part of Pune.
