This rooftop lounge-restaurant has some seriously interesting cocktails – shooters combine gin, clove and cucumber, or white rum, jasmine and pineapple, or tequila, green apple and crushed black pepper. There is also a classic apple martini with oregano, a dill cucumber martini, one with passion fruit and clove, a cosmopolitan with lavender, a mojito with basil and clove, a daiquiri with star anise and litchi, a Cuba libre with hazelnut… the list goes on. The crumbed mushrooms appetizer with chopped jalapenos is yum, as is the prawn tempura with wasabi mayo and kikkoman soya. The chicken-ginger-scallion and prawn-bird’s eye chillies dumplings are bundles of joy, while the calamari salad (crispy squid, asparagus, fennel shavings, eggplant, olive, basil and parmesan in a salsa verde) is mouthwatering. If you get to the mains, the lamb burger with a BBQ-bourbon sauce or leek-spinach risotto are recommended. Finish with soft-crispy, sweet Spanish churros, topped with warm, rich chocolate sauce.
