The intoxicating aroma of shisha first hits you as you walk in to this pub-like establishment. For those indulging in tipple, the ‘kacche kele aur arbi ke kabab’ is an interesting starter, bringing you saffron-marinated raw banana and colocasia chunks; the ‘rakabdaar ki tangdi’, or chicken leg stuffed with cheese and marinated with yellow chillies, is piquant as well. Crab-stuffed shitake mushrooms go well with rum, as does salmon tartare served with a quail egg set off whisky; or then, sample a beef carpaccio with parmesan shavings in a mustard-and-capers dressing with a mug of beer instead. There is a long list of entrées, ranging across the usual wood-fired pizzas, pastas, risottos, Asian combo meals, and some inspired fine-dining mains (surf and turf, tamarind salmon, panko and basil-crusted chicken breast, for example). We loved their Granny Smith apple pie and mud pie (who could go wrong with a melting brownie, oodles of chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream?) to finish.
Jan 4 evening: Browsing through Zomato for beer offers led us to this place. This is in the mall next to Blue Diamond (Taj). Looks like a run down mall. Inside is not to our liking - loud music, flashing lights. Fortunately, they have an outdoor seating - quiet and nice. The evening didn't start well - they didn't have beer on tap which they charge at 69 bucks. Instead we had to take a bucket of pints. Not what we wanted. Higher price and obviously not as good as draught. Coming to food - masala papad was good. Roasted masala peanuts was also nice and the masala was good. Mushroom tandoori was good but the paneer jaali kebab was horrible - very chewy and had no taste. The service was not upto the mark considering we were the only table occupied in the outdoor area. Food quality was inconsistent and no beer on tap!
The overall place disappoints. There is a dance floor and they have some good drinks. But the food, service staff and the building premises are quite sorry. So
This is one of the worst lounges I have been to. The front desk lady, in charge of collecting cover charge was clueless about credit cards! She probably saw an AMEX for the first time. Some of the bouncers were a bit too in your face. The service staff inside was extremely confused about serving beer by the pitcher. The music was below average. The worst part however, was the absolutely clueless manager and one person who probably was his assistant. This place may be visited by people who haven't seen many clubs / lounges but them aside, its worth a pass.
One of the Worth Lounge In Kp. Superb Interior as well as the service. The music is fab every time but More exciting is the after 12 party 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Best for its food and taste. ”Must try once”
It is a good place... with a very good ambience, good crowd, good decor, good food, and good service. The mocktails out here are good... my favourite being April lady . The sizzlers and their pizzas are just yummm.... to die for. Service is excellent, with courteous staff
Explore the delights of Pune’s vibrant and throbbing night life by taking your friends to this hip new pub which goes by the name of ‘The Mugshot Lounge’. For the young party hoppers and for those who adore their drink, the pub holds the added attraction of the hookahs which infuses the whole space. Designed in the old-fashioned pub style the lounge resembles much like a British pub if you take in the black & white checker floors and a small craved railing. There is one thing that separates The Mugshot Lounge with any other entity – the sheer lavish space. You would definitely not feel suffocated here. The pub provides plenty of space to snuggle if your high heels bother you so for girls, this pub is a blessing. As the evening falls the pub becomes the mecca of fun and music. Punters pour-in in droves to taste the high energy that seeps the place.
The Mugshot Lounge is a vibrant and cheerful place patron’s visit to feel alive and to uplift their spirits. The focal point of the pub is the modern and edgy looking bar all aglow with crystal and lights. You would notice the bar being stocked with all the major well-known brands of booze, both domestic and international. You can savour a Campari, liqueurs, single malts, scotch, tequila, cognac, rum, beers, alcopops, shooters and gin. Save a few bucks by ordering a pitcher which will do very well for large gathering. You can also taste martini, champagne cocktails and some classics as well, like – mojito, old fashioned, whisky sour, sex on the beach, margarita, Manhattan, Singapore sling, white Russian, cosmopolitan, rusty nail and pinacolada. The non-drinkers can too say ‘cheers’ with an array of mocktails such as, green destiny, mugshot cream soda, april lady and pink champagne.
You would not go hungry from The Mugshot Lounge for they have a mean and sensational food menu. Pair your drinks with some nibbles, angus beef carpaccio, harissa chicken, salmon tarter, crumbed fried fish and crispy tiger prawns. Share a pizza between friends, if not then stick with orecchiette carbonara, tamarind salmon, saffron risotto, corn polenta, surf and turf, lobster thermidor, steamed red snapper and roti canaia. The indian section with delectable kebabs are mind-blowing too. Finish strongly with a mud pie or crème brule. Enjoy the karaoke night on Fridays and live music on other days. The Mugshot Lounge may be pricey but is worth every penny.
