About Time After Time, The Central Park Hotel
When it comes to family-style dining in Pune, the city is wonderfully blessed with numerous exquisite restaurants designed specifically for families and foodies. It has its fair share of places with sprawling quarters and a wide extensive menu to match. Diners come in hordes to enjoy their food and experience the excellent gastronomy of Pune first hand. Some restaurants more than the others take up our attention and one of them is ‘Time After Time’. This bright little hotel restaurant is placed at the lobby level of The Central Park Hotel on Bund Garden Road, Pune. Its well-designed space plus a lovely menu are the two major reasons why this restaurant is so famous with the locals. Also it remains open all-day long so drop in anytime for a fulfilling bite on the way to work or after a long party.
The menu of Time After Time doesn’t give you a chance to complain. It’s generous and all-encompassing, travelling all over the globe. You have a chance to savour cuisines like North Indian, Chinese, Thai and European, all under one roof. Keep an eye out for their buffets, they are a vegetarian’s dream. As there is free Wi-Fi turn a working lunch into a pleasurable one. Commence on their menu with, fish recheado, golden fried baby corn, murgh tikka, parmesan chicken strips, bruschetta with toppings, fried lamb chilli, paneer tikka sofia, salt ‘n’ pepper vegetables, mushroom fritters and Kerala frito misto. In main course tackle with, seafood thermidor, lemon chicken, dum aloo banarsi, lamb in ginger & basil, grilled fillet of pomfret with Dijon, farfalle aglio olio, grilled fish in basil orange sauce and chicken chettinad.
Get your sugar high on Time After Time’s assorted desserts. There is enough options to woo your sweet tooth into submission. Opt for kulfi falooda, chocolate mocha, hot gulab jamun, nizami shahi tukda, crème caramel, warm chocolate brownie, chocolate mousse, caramel apple crepe, chocolate cherry strata and a trio of halwa. The dimly lit intimate ambience of Time After Time is ideal for couples and families. The restaurant is designed in a modern and striking way with bold use of colours. From the windows one gets a lovely view of the pool at night and if the weather allows, slip outdoors and sit by the pool. A not-so-expensively priced place.
Insider Tips
- They also host a more than competent buffet through the week, with a (surprisingly) larger variety of vegetarian items
- Desserts carry a lovely little troika of desi halwas with gajar (carrot), doodhi (bottle gourd) and moong dal (split green gram) – all rich and ghee-soaked
- With WiFi available, a working meal here could mean the light carrot-ginger-cheese soup, with jalapeno, leek and tomato bruschettas or German bacon potato salad
