Off the bat, Bombay Brasserie is for when you want a long lingering lunch to catch up with a friend, escape from the pressures of work in a pretty corner and have some good grub while you are at it. Start first with a choice from the Pauwas – 180ml cocktails, each of which come with their own chakna! Try the Janta Bar with its chaat masala, whisky, coke and chilli-spiked goodness, which comes with the Bombay Chana Chivda. The Nagpuri Santra is quite the citrusy indulgence. If additional munchies are in order, then the Chilli Cheese Kulcha should be your order – mini kulchas of chilli cheese that will satisfy your need for hot and gooey. The Marathi Jhinga Mirch with that characteristic Marathi Thecha hits happy notes in the mouth and belly. The Amritsari Kulfi is quite the dessert bringing together Falooda, Kulfi and Badam Phirni all on one platter. Bombay Brasserie also has a collection of teas on the menu, which are worth a try though the Charminar Chai did not quite cut it for me.
