Step into the ITC Windsor, and the first place you see to your right is the Irish Pub, Dublin. Done up tastefully in the deep brown colours of wood, with hints of gold, the plush chairs instantly make you comfortable. Dublin is all about a good drink and even better food. The Chicken Wings come in an addictive spicy-sweet sauce with tzatziki and vegetable crudites. The sauce on the chicken is so good that, just like we did, you will ask them to leave the platter behind simply to run your finger all over it. The Calamari Fritters, are tempura like, sizeable in portion and very well paired with a sweet, sour sauce. They are light and crispy and work wonderfully with the drinks from the bar. The stone grills are a speciality here, and you must give these a shot. These are substantial meals – try the Rosemary and Garlic Marinated Lamb Chops served with Roasted Potatoes and Papaya Relish. Do not forget to use the jus on the side lavishly. The Peri Peri Rubbed Prawns will have you in awe, from the sheer size of each crustacean. The Grilled Pork Chops are indulgent, with Bacon Rashers, Roasted Figs and a Hoisin Sauce. Vegetarians do not have too many options at this restaurant, but the Potato and Zucchini Roast is a good option. And if you are making the most of Bangalore’s great weather, do make it a point to sit out on the lush lawns of the property.
