The good thing about Italia is that the chef here focuses on a single region of Italy for a month and has a range of dishes to choose from. Your dining experiences will be different each time you visit. The fresh bread that comes to the table along with three kinds of herb butter is the best way to begin while you wait for your food. Try the classic Bruschetta or take things up a notch with a version that includes bocconcini and a drizzle of balsamic. The Insalata Di Pollo Alla Griglia is a chicken breast salad that is quite filling and makes for a perfect meal along with a soup. Always the risotto fan, try the Funghi Porcini version with fresh arugula on it. If fish is your thing, then the Salmon al Forno con Finocchio E Zucchini or the oven roasted salmon fillet with fennel and zucchini. This is first baked and then pan finished and the jus generously spread over the fish. Pasta lovers will find the Fettuccine Al Ragu E Porcini a great meal. While a Tiramisu is a great way to end the meal, do try the Fragolini al Balsamico which is a crostini with mascarpone cheese, cinnamon, balsamic vinegar and sliced strawberries when they are in season.
As it is attached to the Park hotel, it has traditional ambiance. Food was good, service was good, pool side option was available.
Had dinner in Italia with business colleagues and found the food , service , ambience and cleanliness to the par . The presentation was excellent and the taste was awesome
I had gone to Italia for an Italian dinner with my family with a lot of expectations as I had visited the restaurant a few years back and had a lovely experience. Italia is the Italian restaurant at The Park located on MG Road opposite No1 MG Road Mall. The hotel seems to now be catering to a different crowd of youngsters at the bar and scant attention is paid to the once lovely Italia, On our last visit this small but charming restaurant was full of diners and a reservation was essential. This time around only 1 table was occupied on a Saturday night. This I suppose was a testament to the quality of food served. The music from the bar next door was so loud that the air conditioning vents kept vibrating to the thumping beats. Very annoying. We were handed the drinks menu but most of the drinks weren't available. They had only select brands so why bother with a menu?? The soda was not chilled but was at room temperature. For a starter we ordered a platter of cold cuts and cheese. The platter arrived with a few dreary looking and smelly cured meats. The cheese was good but the bread was dry. Very disappointing. I had ordered a medium rare tenderloin which was seared on the outside but totally rare on the inside. This was more rare than medium rare. My plate was swimming in blood by the end of the meal. The tenderloin was very tender though. If I was even mildly squeamish I wouldn't have been able to eat my meal. We didn't want to risk trying dessert as the previous courses were appalling. All in all a very disappointing meal and I will never visit again.
The restaurant itself is lovely to be in. Classic decor and charming Italian music. The service is great. The pizza (Quattro Stagioni) wasn't very impressive and was boring. The spaghetti with lamb raghu was wonderful. They also give you a bread basket but some of the bread wasn't very fresh and the butter was just regular Amul butter.
The park bangalore has beautiful iltalian restraunt, we went for dinner and we had best pizza in life. Will never forget the test of pizza ,specially thanks to chef Amar and Assam girl.
