The in-house North Indian and Mughlai restaurant at Le Meridien is a special one because it comes with a nice poolside view. The seating is pretty average though, we would love if they had more comfortable seats instead of the rather plastic-y ones. The ambience and the poolside view pretty much makes up for that. The menu is quite simple and very classical, no experiments, no nonsense to look forward to. Just some really delicious food and the idea that remains very traditional for the diners even today. The mains, as well are pretty much on the lines of being classical and there is only some good taste you can expect. The ‘Mutton Biryani’ is what we recommend the most since it is one of the top-selling dishes on the menu. They have a bar by the side that offers some nicely balanced drinks if you would like. Try the ‘Rasmalai’ or ‘Gulab Jamun’ are pretty alright. The inside seating is equally great and comfortable.
nice place to have a discussion over drinks, Good service the place has good ambiance and location is also good.
Jashn is an outdoor poolside restaurant which gives it an edge over other boxed in places and service here is always warm and wonderful. Thanks so much to Akash and Prashant for the very hospitable service. Thanks also to Chef for the excellent vegetable kabab platter.
We let our waiter choose our Indian meal for us, after a conversation on likes and dislikes and the food was fantastic, plus he gave us a bonus dish of his choice which was excellent. I have never been a fan of Indian food as it always seems to have a bad effect on my tummy but this was exceptional, if we had been staying longer I would have gone back again.
I am not usually a fan of hotel restaurants, however we decided to give this a go after a long day. Lovely setting by the pool. The most friendly service in the hotel and a fantastic meal.
Tried couple of times Jashn during my stay . Located in Le Meridien next the pool the place brings a quiet and nice atmosphere. Food wise it is great with many choices from veg to non veg , and very tasty one . Price is on the higher tier, but remains a good quality/price ratio. Service is courteous and professional . One difference I noted between the two visits : first visit only two tables were occupied, service was prompt and fast . Today there were 8-10 occupied. It felt slower as expected but questions came has been more : did they forget my drink ? Did they forget the naan after food arrives few minutes ago ... eventually everything arrives at some point but felt a bit disorganised. 8-10 tables being half of the visible capacity. Then again just have to chilled relax next to swimming pool and everything is forgotten :) In overall good food and service. Definitely will return !
A display of soft green kebabs, golden brown juicy gulab jamuns, charred pieces of spicy paneer and mound of flaky flatbreads. If this image entices your taste buds and made your mouth water then hop in your car and drive down to Le Meridien on Sankey Road, Bengaluru. The place is home to a spice heaven named ‘Jashn’, a fabulous north Indian restaurant determined to forever change your notions about the cuisine. Jashn – Daawat by Poolside is a sophisticated restaurant housed in a stunning hotel carving a niche for itself by giving the patrons what they want, delicious food with a charming ambience. The interiors of the restaurant is eye-catching due to generous space made all the more intimidating by the high ceiling. A wrought structure stands proudly on one side of the room like a canopy. If that doesn’t impress you then their cordial staff certainly will. The service provided at Jashn is flawless and friendly.
The food that comes through the kitchen is superb and beautifully prepared. The presentation is paid a lot of attention to, with each plate looking lovely when it reaches your table. The menu of Jashn covers North Indian and Mughlai dishes, capturing their rich heritage exactly. The dishes are authentically prepared and wonderfully executed. Though Jashn is an expensive place it still manages to draw a steady bunch of regulars religiously. Menu has a tremendous range of appetizers covering vegetarian, chicken, seafood and lamb delicacies. You can start your spice journey with, rustom khumb e bahar, murgh sofyani kabab, hussaini lamb chops, mahi hariyali tikka, peshawari tandoori prawns, tandoori hari gobi, takshali boti kabab, murgh kabab mumtazi, samundar ki jalpari, maans ke dhuvandaar kabab, murgh charga lahori, tandoori lobster, seekh kebab kangari and murgh badami kabab. The appetizers are succulent and marinated in lovely spices.
You can pair these juicy appetizers with a basket of flaky warm flatbreads. Some of the flatbreads served here are unheard of like, taftan (leavened bread with saffron and cardamom), bakarkhani (flat bread) and peshawari nan (flat bread topped with dry fruits and nuts). Their dal bharuchi is cooked with complex flavours and pairs perfectly with your naans. Many come to Jashn to dine on this lavish fare by the pool side. The ambience certainly elevates the evening. Jashn is a good place to take a business associate or a special someone.
