News Cafe can be unpredictable. I have had food that ranged from good to bad with very little warning. But it is a popular place and some of the stuff is safe to play with. For instance, the onion rings. Or the honey-coated chicken sesame salad, which is quite good in fact. And then there is the wings platter that comes with chicken wings with BBQ sauce, peri peri sauce, and ranch sauce – basically, it is just wings with different coats on. The Bunny Chow (a Durban Specialty) is quite a popular dish. Rich mutton curry, stuffed into a loaf of bread and served with some salad on the side, is often ordered on repeat.
