This one placed right in the centre of the massive Orion Mall can get packed even for an early lunch on a weekday, which was the time I visited. Choose to dine from a vast buffet set-up or go a la carte. Despite my inhibitions, the service on a la carte was quick and seamless. We started our meal with a 'Mutton Yakhni Shorba'. Quite hit the spot this one, it has all the flavour of a slow-cooked mutton broth, with a touch of yoghurt to remind you of a Kashmiri mutton rendition. We then had the 'Khaam Khatai' – the Punjab Grill version of a galouti. I say this, because, though this was really good, it did not make the cut for a galouti, rather it made for a really good 'Shammi Kebab'. The 'Pattar Ka Ghosht' is a must-have. The 'Bharwan Aloo Tandoorwala', with a generous stuffing of potato and spiced paneer, can be quite filling. We made the main course out of 'Rumali Rotis' and 'Garlic Naans', paired with a 'Makhani Chooze', chicken in a simmered tomato gravy with a generous touch of methi leaves giving a balanced tart, sweet and bitter taste that went really well with our roti. The 'Nalli Nihari' is also the main course that you will want on the table. Punjab Grill is well known for some of it cocktails like the 'Kaccha Aam', which is a personal favourite and the 'Paan Martinis'. End your meal on the 'Paan Kulfi'. There is ample choice in each section for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The pricing is steep here, so be prepared for 5-star pricing when you see your bill.
