Setup with a scary theme, Ruh is sure to spook you out at least initially as you enter. The dim red and black lighting, with hanging lanterns and old-school antique curios give you the feel of being in a haunted house. The attached outdoor tent seating is also a bliss for those seeking a pleasant meal in the evening. Serving an extensive Mediterranean, Persian and Indian menu, the dishes worth exploring here could be lamb moussaka, shish touk, mutton chops and maybe garlic bread on the side to nibble.
This place has an absolutely amazing Arabic ambiance and feel. The moment you enter, you will feel you have just reached Arabia. The food includes some good Arabic dishes but still many more authentic arabic dishes can be added. The service is really sloppy however and that's what requires improvement. Food is great in taste and presentation otherwise. Hookah's are top notch best I've had so far.
Ruh is the place to be for an amazing experience. It's a middle eastern themed bar and restaurant located in Bellandur on the outer ring road. The moment I stepped at the main door, I was surprised by the warm greetings and the staff asked me to read something on the door, which was to say a phrase "Khul Ja Sim Sim" to get the door opened. It was a different experience. The ambience inside was superb with beautiful Arabic themed interiors. It was well decorated and they also had Arabian costumes to put on and get clicked. I really enjoyed this part. Service was excellent too. It's a good place to enjoy with your loved ones here. A perfect place for a romantic date or any celebration. FOOD, TASTE, AND QUALITY: I had a variety of starters, main course, and desserts along with some refreshing cocktails and hookah. Al Harira Soup - Yummy! It was really delicious and I loved it. It was so good that I had two portions of it. Absolutely a must-try delicacy. Fattoush Salad - It was nice and it's presentation was good too. Kachumbar Salad - Nothing different and as usual. Non Veg Mezze Platter - It had different snack items which were delicious. I liked their Samosa and Hummus. It was delicious and authentic. Gobhi Harimirchwala - Again a very good option in vegetarian. It was flavourful and delectable. Prawns Infused in Garlic Olive Oil - It was served with garlic bread and tasted good. It was quite different but had good flavours. Paneer Korma - It was definitely a must have dish for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. The paneer was succulent and tender. The gravy was flavoursome too, I had it with Rumali Roti. Cottage Cheese Steak - I was surprised to see such delicious and flavourful dish being served in an Arabic themed restaurant. It might not be a part of the middle eastern cuisine but they had prepared it very well. Also, a good option for vegetarians. Murg Makhani - It was superb! A well cooked chicken gravy dish which went really well with Rumali Roti. Chicken was succulent and it had the flavours infused very well. Special Dhania Keema Mutter - A wow preparation! I just loved it despite being not so hungry after having so much food. A must-have at this place for sure and I would recommend it. I had this dish with Khameeri Roti which was a great accompaniment with it. Cocktails: WTF - It's a Vodka-based cocktail which is balanced in flavour and is quite drinkable. Genie in a Bottle - It's a Vodka-based cocktail which was served in a genie bottle. It's presentation was excellent. It was served in a container which had dry ice and so the nitrogen fumes made it an delight to the eyes. Taste wise it was on a stronger side. Flaming Waterfall of Mexican Coffee - The presentation is simply outstanding and can't be any better. It's a very innovative preparation and getting it prepared by the server is surely a pleasant experience. However, it's very strong and only for those who like cocktails that way. Definitely, not for everyone. Personally, I don't like the drinks to be so strong so I didn't like it taste wise. Sandal Queen - I just loved this mocktail. This is the only mocktail that I had from their mocktails section, It was Sandalwood flavoured and was soda based. The aroma was simply amazing. It definitely deserves to be a must-have non alcoholic beverage at Ruh. Baklava - It was a rich and sweet dessert which was good in taste. It was crispy and served with Vanilla Ice Cream. Chocolate Bomb - It turned out to be a delightful experience both with the way it was served and with it's taste. Ruh Special Hookah - It was refreshing with saffron, paan, and many more flavours mixed together. They had served it in a pot with dry Ice which made it look appealing with its smoke. SERVICE AND AMBIENCE: Service was excellent and I was warmly greeted and served. I liked it and it was an enjoyable experience. I also liked they way they served and their presentation of food and drinks. Ambience was very good with different choices of seating options to relax and enjoy. They have a bar section and the whole restaurant is a mini Arab in itself. Everything matches with their theme. Overall, a great experience.
Its Arabian themed restaurant & staff also wears that kind of dresses. The ambiance is quirky yet amazing. It's dark, magnificent and simply gives you a long lasting memories to cherish. Seating arrangement with lightening & tents is comfortable. The place is nicely decorated and can be asked to arrange for special occasions too. Food was tasty, although bit expensive.. we had Soup, starters, Nan & Curry. Service is little slow but that gives time to enjoy the setting and staff is friendly. Overall Ruh is one interesting place for spending quality time with your friends and family.
First of all we were not allowed to speak to the manager. The food was very cold, the wine served was a cheap one, not a single fan which could provide air. The music was ridiculous. The ambience is just made to look good in the pics whereas the actuality is its very cheap. Overall experience i would rather rate -1. We paid 5500 and everything we got didn’t even add upto to 1k.! This is looting. We were told we would get chocolates, none were given. No care was taken from a customer point of view. Really a bad place to visit.
Place is located in Bellandur and has good lunch buffet for just 550 INR (all inclusive) and decent options. The place is nicely decorated and can be asked for special occasions too. We had a good lunch today and enjoyed the food though service could have been a little faster however fresh snacks take some time anyways.
A charming ambience goes a long way into popularizing a restaurant. Beautiful interiors exuding a dreamy atmosphere can turn any mediocre date into a memorable one. All it takes is the lovely décor and the right kind of lighting to do the job. Couples are the first ones to sing the advantages of a stunning ambience. That’s what they look for primarily while choosing a place for their upcoming date. The city of Bengaluru is crawling with fine dining restaurants focusing deeply on their interiors in hopes of drawing Insta-crazy crowd of diners. One place is especially trending on social media for it’s breath-taking décor called ‘Ruh’. This poetically named restaurant is a sought after destination for couples and families interested in some mood dining. It’s situated in Ganapa Towers, Outer Ring Road, Bellandur, Bengaluru.
If you think you get excited by it’s décor alone, wait till you clap your eyes on it’s menu. It’s a mouth-watering compilation of North Indian, Mughlai, Mediterranean and Iranian cuisines. The Iranian part of the menu certainly surprises us. Do check it out while browsing. The bartender whips up seriously potent house cocktails in case you feel like skipping the malts and brews. Zero Calorie and Green Apple Martini are especially delicious. Enjoy starters like, murgh malai chops, shish tauk, prawns infused in garlic olive oil, fattoush salad, bharwan kumbh & potli kabab, lamb wine leaves, batata harra, kadipatta chicken and samak koufta. When you get to the main course section opt for, orange chicken tagine, wild mushroom pasta, gosht dum biryani, kadi pakodi chawal, sumac grilled fish, Greek mousakka, paneer korma, mac & cheese and Goan fish curry.
Bring the evening to a delightful end with Ruh’s selection of scrumptious desserts. Tease your palate with a hot gulab jamoon or a cool baklava or baked Alaska. If you happen to be lunching here on weekdays, go for their buffet. Ask for a hookah to fully appreciate the exotic Arabic ambience of Ruh. This is one of the few places in Bengaluru to play on dramatic elements. The red ambient lighting washing the whole room in a mysterious haze catches your breath for a moment. Then your eyes adjust to take in the stunning chandeliers, exposed brick walls and stylish red leather sofas. Sit outside under a canopy strung with lights to add a romantic touch to your evening. Ruh is not at all expensive. A perfect place for dates.
