  • They have a full bar menu, but their little tweaks in cocktails are delightful. Check out the lime hullina rasa – whisky, lemongrass, grenadine, bitters, and fresh lime
  • For dessert, forget the jamuns and the halwas, and get the elaneer payasam (payasam made with tender coconut)
  • The lunch thali at the restaurant is worth a shot. Choose your meat or seafood, or even the vegetarian version, and leave the rest to them

I have not had one bad meal here, and that is probably the story for most Sana-di-ge fans. Focusing on dishes from Karnataka (Mangalore especially), Maharashtra, Kerala, and some from even Goa, this restaurant is seafood haven. Check out the anjal tava fry, the crab soup, Yetti/Marvai sukka (prawns/clams fried in a dried coconut spice mix), fried lady fish, or even the Malvani mutton masala dry from the coast of Maharashtra. They also make sungat dumplings – prawns cooked in onions, tomatoes, a special Goa masala, and then coated with bread crumbs and deep fried. For main course, the Karavalli jenji curry (sea crab cooked in a hot gravy) is a personal favourite. And try the egg appams!

The restaurant collects recipes from all the regional kitchens and prepare them authentically in its kitchens under the mantle of native chefs. Discover the food from the coasts of Kerala, Mangalore, Maharashtra and Goa, under this one glorious roof. Seafood is their forte, vegetarians keep that in mind. Give beer or scotch a skip and start your meal with a traditional cooler. Nibble alongside on, patrodde, yetti sukka, butterfly chicken, tandoori crab, mutton pepper fry, chilly bondas, anjal coastal fry, paneer ghee roast and naked fry silver fish. Get an overdose of South Indian curries with, surmai ambat, kheema pav, sungat dumplings, meen roast, bangda curry, basale kadale curry, erachi porichathu, teekha kolambi fry, stuffed kurle and Malabar green peas curry.
