Old Hindi film songs, colourful interiors with amusing signage and lots of quirk in the décor are what await visitors to SodaBottleOpenerWala, and the chain’s take on Parsi/Irani food and drink. You will find SodaBottleOpenerWala busy and bustling on weekends and evenings, as patrons enjoy the Parsi style food with a side order of bright and quirky. SodaBottleOpenerWala offers a daily breakfast menu available between 08.30 am and noon, which is not-to-be-missed. Aside from the Parsi culture’s love for egg which is seen in the 'Poro' (Pars style Omelette) section as well as many of the dishes (there is even an 'Eduwala Breakfast Tray'), there are also many more options, like this ode to an Iranian café - the classic 'Bun Maska/Jam', Bombay specials like 'The Byculla Breakfast Club' tray with 'Aloo Paratha' and 'Kanda Bhajjiya', and for vegetarians, there is a paneer version of the classic Parsi dish, 'Akuri'. There is even a 'Vegan Breakfast Tray'. Do not miss out on the 'Cold Brew Coffees' or if tea is your poison, then the 'Irani Chai' or a 'Fresh Fruit Ice Tea'. When visiting in the afternoon or evening, the various Pav dishes are a surefire start to the meal. Choose from the 'Bohri Kheema Pav', 'Ghotala Pav', 'Chilli Cheese Pav' or the traditional 'Vada Pav'. The 'Eggs Kejriwal' is another excellent choice.
Old bawa and Bumsuckerwala cocktails were good. All their egg preparations were good.Paneer pakora, Corn bhel among starters was fully loaded and tasty.Liked their ambience and staff were courteous, especially the differently abled lady at the welcome. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Reminded me of the “Bawa” cafes in Bombay with a modern twist Good ambience Good Food ,Try the mutton chop ( Keenan and potatoes in crispy batter )The chicken was bought in a aluminum Tiffin box, chili cheese pad was not as per expectation Music was a combo of old Bollywood number and some guests sang along too Make reservations otherwise you may have a wait of 45 mins
Went there to have a dinner with my Finnish colleagues. Everyone loved the food. And they had live music which made the experience even better.
The food was good, enjoyed the Bacon Wada Pav and the kheema paratha with egg. The service was slow and they took more than 45 mins to get my Mango Cocktail Definitely this is recommended for a family outing and also was happy to get 15% discount on the toal bill from eazy Diner
Stepped in here for lunch. Ordered Parsi Prawns Curry with steamed rice apart from their Raspberry Soda. Loved the ambiance and service. Food was good, can’t say anything great about it.
The wonders of Parsi cuisine never cease to end. What is it that makes the cuisine so dear to us? The nostalgia? Or is it the heritage of the cuisine? Whatever it may be, the country has woken up to the cuisine and smelled the dhansaak in a new way. It all began when a young entrepreneur opened a quirky Parsi restaurant in posh lanes of Khan Market, Delhi and which snowballed from there into a full-fledged revolution. Now the trend gastronomy wave has reached the lanes of Bengaluru, weaving its Irani spell on the local foodies and fine dining enthusiasts. With ‘SodaBottleOpenerWala’ Parsi cuisine has found a new address. This extremely popular chain of restaurants after creating a gastronomy havoc in several cities has found a way to Bengaluru’s Lavelle Road.

Wrap up on a strong sweet note with traditional Parsi desserts, matunga coffee cake, lagan nu custer, super tasty pumpkin flan and mixed berry trifle. Besides its gorgeous food what SodaBottleOpenerWala is known for is its décor that reflects the originality of traditional Parsi cafes. Brightly painted spacious rooms resembles very much like a Parsi drawing room, filled with knick-knacks collected over the years by an eclectic Bori. Take in the vintage photographs, chandelier made out of kettles, gramophone, shuttered windows, old-fashioned telephone and a patterned floor that runs across the room. In cool evenings sit in their open outdoor section that overlooks the hustle-bustle of busy chirpy Bengaluru. The menu is well priced in comparison to its other fancy neighbours.
