More buffets coming your way – and the one at Spice It on Richmond Road can vary from good to indifferent, and the lively décor with shades of red does not always help. While I assume the restaurant is mostly visited by the in-house guests from the hotel itself, one or two working lunchers were also spotted. The buffet has the usual suspects on it – starters, soups, salads, breads, curries, stir-fries, and desserts. The À la carte menu includes Indian, Continental, and Oriental food, so you can take your pick from there.
A nice place to visit and hangout in the evening with family and friends. I had visited on 21st August with my daughter and spouse. Had a lovely dining.
Lunch/dinner have tried items from different cuisine out here... in european items, their fish and chips is decent, and grilled pesto fish is very delicious.....chicken item on continental section is good as well' however, vegeterians may end up disappointed as nothing much baring paneer out here....had corn and cheese in continental, which was ok, but very heavy..... the best of items served out here are kadai/rara chicken etc... and usually kebabs are good out here... they serve complementary papads and service is prompt...pricing is slightly on the higher side..although the buffet is priced reasonably
I dined with family at Spice It Restaurant at IBIS Bengaluru City Centre on 17th June. We were greeted promptly and asked to sit where comfortable. The ambiance and décor were delightful. Everything was clean and neat looking. I felt I was dining in a very clean environment. It was a buffet dinner and every food item was laid out in a nice presentation and the display was visually pleasing to the eye. We got very good service from Vikas, who brought us butter naan and later butter scotch ice cream. Soothing jazz music was playing in the background. Turning to the food, the cream of chicken soup was excellent and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The Hunan chicken was very good as was the Thai red fish curry. Of particular note was the lamb in rosemary sauce, which was amazing! I can still taste this dish, one week after dining there. Kudos to Commi III Lalita, who cooked up this mouth-watering dish. Tables were cleaned quickly but the dirty plates were stacked in view of customers. I informed Vikas of this and he said he would take care of it. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience, topped off with a tasty café latte. I’m giving my dinner at Spice It Ibis City Centre 9.5 out of 10. Stephen Joseph Bangalore
We had two meals here - a dinner on 14th & breakfast on 15th Feb 2017. The Service was good. At the dinner the soup was good and the butter naanv soft and tasty in combination with veg curry. For the breakfast, started with a glass of mix fruit juice and water melon / papaya / raisins followed by a masala dosa and strong coffee.
Was on a quick trip to Bangalore. Since I was working in the area, I decided to have breakfast here. The spread was decent. Eggs, toast, noodles, south Indian, fruits, continental, waffle and sprouts. Along with milk, cereals, juice and tea/coffee. The taste was fine and service quick. Instead of paying 200-300/- for grab breakfast in a cafe or something, this was a great value breakfast. I would have given it 5 if the place a little more option in north Indian. Then it would be complete. Although, I am not complaining.
