This is the retro style bar that is inspired by sports, it does seem like that when you stress and look around. it does not prominently appear so because it is has a very old-ish kind of a setting that will take you ages back. The furniture and seating are comfortable and cool, no doubt about it. The setting is dim-lit and it will allow you to enjoy some ‘me time’ with yourself of course. Generally, they do not play loud music, some jazz and blues are on. The drinks are nicely done, most of the classic ones on the menu are pretty straightforward and nice. There is a whole selection of drinks which is based on Molecular Gastronomy and a rather modern take on cocktails but they are priced almost double for some fancy, not something you are missing out on. Might as well take a nice ‘Singapore Sling’ and stay by the side. The food compliments the drinks pretty well and again, not much to expect in terms of presentation and looks. The taste and flavours are pretty nice and straightforward. The ‘Nachos with Chili Cheese Sauce’ and the ‘Sushi’ are some really nice options to match up with the drinks. Otherwise, it is just the regular North Indian grub that they have in the mains as well, so whatever interests you more. Some really classic and old school desserts on the menu as well, some of those include ‘Chocolate Brownie’ and ‘Cheesecake’.
Nice bar, even very few customers. Happy hour from 16-20. In addition to drinks they serve also meals from La Brasserie restaurant.
The bar was pretty nice, with a good atmosphere and decent selection of drinks. Themed in a sporty way, but nice to chill out after a long day. Drink prices are on the high side though given it is a hotel. Tip - Come by happy hour is around 6-8pm for 1 for 1 drinks.
Was here at Sports Bar for quick drinks. Amazed with hospitality of The Manager incharge Mr. Simran Suri who has a great customer service attitude. Their ongoing IPL offer is great and not to be missed. Do try, great food and drinks.
They have good variety of food and specially Signature dishes. Place is wide and vibrant and good service as well.
Personnel served my beer as I wanted, with some foam on it. They even switched the TV on a channel with Dutch football, I now could even see the missed match Heerenveen-Feijenoord of my favorite club Feyenoord
Men are very possessive about their sport teams and booze and this statement can be the foundation of the success for sports bar. All the men want is to sip on their beers with roasted peanuts on game nights glued to the screen and their wish is granted at these bars where sports is a religion. ‘Sports Bar’ at Le Meridien on Sankey Road is Bengaluru city’s most happening bar to top the guy charts. And if the bar happens to be stylish and modern in bargain then things couldn’t have been better. Sports Bar is all that, edgy, contemporary, stylish and very swanky. The spacious room is wide and masculine designed to freedom of movement. Large LED screens are mounted on the walls playing all the current games hooted by its excited viewers. Comfy sofas are centred by a large square table to pile on the drinks. The well-lit bar seems to be the focal point of the room serving drinks in a dizzy frequency.
The atmosphere at Sports Bar is high on energy and brimming with excitement. The anticipation of a good game touches all the punters who with their loud boisterous cheers elevates the ambience of the bar. The servers are friendly and shares the enthusiasm of their guests. With prompt service they attend to their customer’s needs and are aware of their signals. The beers are the most ordered drinks on the menu and have a fantastic collection here. The second position on popularity charts goes to scotch/whisky available in both domestic and international brands. Wines, gin, vodka, brandy, rum, tequila, cognac takes over rest of the menu. The bartender here is brilliant with alcohol and whips up some fantastic concoctions to flutter the heart. The girls especially love the cocktails blended here. Though the classics are made with finesse, you can be more adventurous and opt for their signatures.
The food menu at Sports Bar is a delight leaning heavily towards the dainty nibbles. Some of their hits are Cajun popcorn shrimp, seafood basket, grilled basa fish chunks, assorted sausages, quick pitch quesadilla, nachos with cheese chilli and gosht shammi kebab. For more substantial fare go for sandwiches, burgers, pizza and pasta. End on a sweet note with red wine poached pears, banana split and chocolate shots. Sports Bar may be an expensive place but it has all the right ticks to attract a thirsty punter.
