With wonderful views of the spotless blue swimming pool, Terracotta has plush interiors with very subtle colour scheme and vivid use of lighting in the evenings. They supposedly serve authentic Afghani cuisine. Hence, the Afghani shorbas here should be tried. The pumpkin is simmered with root ginger and basil and tastes simple and hearty in the kaddu shorba. The lobster á la biren is a popular dish in this restaurant and has an interesting story behind it. A loyal guest of the restaurant had once instructed the chef to prepare the dish in a certain manner. It has remained in the menu ever since. It is basically battered lobster morsels gently tossed in delicate Indian spices and presented in its shell.
We made an impromptu plan to go to Taj for a family dinner. As it turned out, it was a busy day and getting a table wasn’t an easy affair. However, due to our long association with Taj, Mr Manoj went an extra mile not only to accommodate us but also to take good care of us and our guests. From ambience to service to food, everything was just perfect. All the courses prepared by Mr Rajendra were really sumptuous and left us craving for more. Thank you Mr Manoj and Mr Rajendra for taking such good care. Our family and our guests still remember both of you and can’t wait to visit again.
This place is amaazing and you have to go there to experience it . had formala dinners with AmericanEuropean colleagues and they also found the experience amazing. Hats off to the chef and the team there to make it a great place
We visited terracotta a few days back and were taken aback by the quality of food and service. Mr Akhil, took extra special care of all of us. The kids were treated with freebies and us adults really warmly. We ordered beetroot kababs, cheese naan and tomato soup and loved every bite of it all. A definite visit for the food and for the hospitality.
Made my special day more special with a sweet gesture of cake by Ria and excellent service.Food was amazing. Will visit again someday.
I was recommended to dine here by the Spa staff (who ironically suggested I try the same dish’s that my waiter (Manoj) did). Upon arrival, Manoj was very welcoming and attentive. I accepted his drink recommendation, which was a crisp, premium larger (excellent). I described what style of cooking I enjoy and although somewhat reserved, I went with both the starter, main and side dish he suggested! ....spiced chicken thigh, baby lamb leg, saag and a selection of breads. I knew I was in good hands as soon as I sampled the starter. I am a huge fan of Indian cuisine back in London (particularly South Indian) and travel distances to experience the very best restaurant on offer but this food is outstanding; tender, fresh meat, perfectly cooked with deep, intense flavours. The lambs leg was absolutely superb and the breads delicious. The spinach was cooked in a light manor with fragrant spices, unlike Saag in the UK. Every element of this dining experience was top quality. Upon feeding back my highest compliments, Arman (the chef) came out to personally thank me and we chatted for a while. He offered a private complimentary cooking lesson the day after to show me specifically how to cook the chicken but unfortunately I had meetings, so he emailed the me recipe - which goes to show that not only is the food and service the best around, but all in all, the staff are lovely and completely customer focussed. I can not recommend this experience highly enough.
