When you cannot go to Goa when you feel like, you head to The Fisherman’s Wharf for some good old style service and great Goan food. Straight up, ask for the chilli margarita from the dedicated bar that comes with a spicy rimmed glass filled with potent goodness. The pork sorportel (sans the blood, so breathe easy) and the pao are superlative. Ask also for the powie, local Goan bread, which also makes a perfect combination. Good thing is that the restaurant has a bakery on the premises. The prawn curry is nice and creamy as well as very coconutty. What is a Goan meal with Goan chorizo; the one served here comes straight from the heart of Goa made especially for the restaurant. Have not been able to wiggle out the address though, it is a great dish to order. I always end a Goan meal with bebinca – the usual yes, but the best way!
