Place is nice and cozy with delicious food.Really liked the interiors of the place as well. They have a small menu , however all the options that we tried were really good. Chicken Stroganoff, Slow cooked lamb & Gooey Brownie were really the best
The white room is a hidden gem in the bustling church street and a few of us bloggers were invited here to try out their food last week. The place is located inside the High Gates Hotel, on church street where there's Empire Hotel and one will be surprised to find such a elegant quaint cafe in Church street! Let me start by describing the interiors and the ambiance of this place because that's what left us stunned. Gorgeous white interiors, beautiful lamps inspired from the French architecture I believe. The insides of the cafe has beautiful furnitures and frames, decorated walls and mirrors around. The overall ambiance of the place is classy, calm and perfect for a dinner date as well. We were welcomed by the staff and we opted to sit outside, however the inside seating is prettier! We started off by ordering a few milkshakes - Nutella, Salted Caramel, Oreo and Strawberry. The Nutella shake was divine, we loved it. The salted caramel was made nicely and so was the Oreo, quite thick and good consistency as well. The strawberry shake could have been slightly better. We browsed through their food menu, it's kinda limited but whatever options they have are wonderful! We were recommended a few special soups and appetisers by the Chef himself. For soups we tried the roast pumpkin, roast pepper with sundried tomato and cream of sweet corn n chicken soups. The pumpkin soup and the chicken soup were beautifully prepared and the flavours just left me awestruck. Mild yet delicious and served with a crispy portion of garlic bread. Yum! Roast pepper soup was good too but I loved the rest two more. For our appetisers we had herbed potato wedges, pesto chicken sliders, chicken wraps and veg wraps. The potato wedges were sautéed with masala and served with mayo, I would've preferred deep fried ones as this tasted slightly raw. However the pesto chicken sliders were delicious, rich pesto sauce with chicken strips and a layer of mayo in tiny buns, tasted quite good. We also tried vegetarian fritters which were crispy and nice to munch on! The chicken wrap was my favourite, I loved how they infused fresh lettuce and a lift sauce with chicken strips in a wrap. The base of the wrap was soft and grilled to perfection. The veg wrap looked extremely colourful with all the bell peppers in it and I was told it tasted good as well! We were quite full and decided to just order limited options for main course, so we opted for a veg lasagna, veg ratatouille with rice, slow cooked lamb with rice and a portion of Fish and chips! The dishes arrived and we were blown by the taste, but first we spent a lot of time taking pictures ofcourse. Haha :) The fish and chips were crumb fried to perfection and served with a classic tartar dip. The filling was good and of course tasted just as good! Next up, the Veg lasagna was what we loved the most! Golden brown cheese on top and curried vegetables with lasagna sheets in layers. We relished each and every bite of the dish and it's a must try for the vegetarians! The veg ratatouille was made in medley of spices and the herbed rice was nice and fragrant. It's worth a try if you want something different and filling! I don't eat lamb but I was told the lamb pieces were soft and tender, the dish tasted excellent! Finally, we ordered desserts! Yaaaay! So they had about 5-6 options and we ended up ordering all of them because of course they're deserts and they looked so tempting! First up, the brownie and ice cream - we had a unanimous opinion that this brownie was by far one of the best we all have tried in the city. It was crisp on the outside and gooey soft on the inside served with a dollop of ice cream. Heaven. Period. Next we tried the cream brûlée and the pannacotta with fruits. The cream brûlée was not very impressive though the top layer was crisp enough. The pannacotta was amazing, soft and they got the texture right and was served with freshly cut apples. I would've loved if they served it with more fruits or a berry compote, next time maybe? :) We tried the chocolate mousse, creamy nice texture and set well! The usual good taste. The banana cake with ice cream was excellent, soft cake with bits of walnut pieces went well with the ice cream! Coming to service and pricing, the service was very good and prompt. They have enough staff who are very hardworking and always serving with a big smile. Appreciate that, keep it up! And pricing is quite moderate and for the quality and quantity of food you get it's absolutely justified. Head over to the white room and also dont forget to try out their wide range of coffee and teas on the menu. They're soon going to expand their menu and include more things, nevertheless this place is bound to make you fall in love with their interiors and give you some good peace of mind. And also while you're here do check out their cute tissue papers! I'm going back soon here and I'm recommending everyone to try this place to all you food lovers. Cheers :)
A pretty white decor with amazing food is what makes this a must visit cafe in Bangalore! We tried their chicken sliders and ratatouille, both dishes good in price and quantity! Their coffee is also amazing. Delighted by the ambiance of this place 🌟
I visited The White Room because its one of those places that serve a beef burger and it is absolutely delicious. They give a big portion and it was difficult for me to finish it. With the burger i took cold coffee which was good too. The interiors are unique and in a pleasant weather you will enjoy sitting outside.
We were looking for nice, quiet breakfast places in Central Bangalore for a good sit-down and relaxing meal, and The White Room fit this bill perfectly. Located on Church Street, The White Room has a fantastic feel and vibe about it. The interiors are white, the lawns and bushes are very inviting. You almost get an international feel about the place, just by entering the restaurant and being seated for a few minutes. The music played is soft and catchy to add to the overall good vibe. Since we had gone for breakfast, we ordered waffles, which are a must have. The chocolate sauce accompanying it was yumm. This was the best item we had. Pancakes with maple syrup were nice. We also had a masala omelette, which was accompanied with 4 slices of bread. The omelette was quite bland (this despite requesting for a spicy omelette), and I thought 4 slices were too many, as they become dry halfway through your meal. Though we did not try their signature dish, Huevos Rancheros, I'm sure this would be nice. We also had vanilla tea, which had vanilla aroma and taste coming through nicely. I'm told the lunch and dinner menu is quite nice as well, though breakfast did not disappoint. If you're looking for a nice, relaxing meal at a lavish-looking place with an international feel, The White Room won't disappoint you.
