Ever dream of a serene space where you can sit quietly for couple of hours and think or read. Located on the premises of High Gates Hotel, Church Street, Bengaluru is an adorable little place that will suit you on all accounts. ‘The White Room’ is a tea parlour cum café placed in the porch of the hotel overlooking the beautiful lush landscape. Unlike every other café The White House chose to keep the room classic. Furnished in single tone of colour white the café looks ethereal and timeless. Besides some aqua blue chairs no other colour penetrates the chic surroundings. The choice to stick to one colour certainly works here as the moment the café opens its doors at 9 am, it gets posse of hungry customers. Armed with books or a pack of friends the patrons arrive in search of the perfect cup of coffee. The view of garden outside is enough to relax even the most stressed mind.

The White Room stocks most wonderful blends of coffee and tea. There is nothing more rejuvenating than a cup of freshly ground coffee first thing in the morning. The house does, café mocha, café frappe, cappuccino, café macchiato, con panna, café Americano, affogato and espresso. However if you want tea then think between earl grey. Ginger spice tea, Ceylon silver tips white tea, vanilla tea, chamomile, lemon tea, green tea with jasmine and natural Moroccan mint tea. Otherwise salted caramel shake, iced tea, oreo shake, strawberry milkshake and chocolate shake also features. Now comes the food. For most important meal of the day they serve egg white omelette, huevos rancheros, waffles, pancakes, French toast, the vegetarian twist, fried eggs, scrambled eggs and add on like, chicken sausage, baked beans, French fries and sautéed vegetables.

On evenings the café dishes out really impressive food. As first course, roast pumpkin soup, spicy fruit & shrimp salad, chicken sliders, beef lettuce wraps, spiced potato wedges, mixed vegetables with tortilla strips and vegetarian fritters are presented. Juicy burgers, sandwiches, wraps, quiche and pies will make your drool with their immense flavours. Mains will take you towards, vegetarian lasagna, ratatouille with herbed rice, fish & chips, slow cooked lamb, country style roast chicken, tenderloin steak with black pepper sauce and beef lasagna. End your evening with chocolate mousse, tarte tatin, crème brulee, panna cotta with fruits and gooey chocolate brownies.
