Long before Sector 26 became a hub of fine-dining restaurants, it was Sector 7, the neighbouring sector that saw families queued up for meals every weekend. And all credit goes to Sip ‘N’ Dine, the standalone restaurant here. In fact, I am pretty sure most Chandigarhians would have a memory attached to eating out here. The interiors are quite old-school - wooden panels, long tables, dining chairs, sofas too – but the layout helps to accommodate everyone – from couples to kitty groups and more. In fact, the place is very popular with corporate get-togethers as well as families for the lunch and dinner buffets. The a la carte menu at Sip ‘N’ Dine walks a familiar path bringing in popular cuisines – Mughlai, Punjabi and Chinese. But they do sure pack in a lot in the menu vis-à-vis the number of dishes on offer. For instance, if you are in a mood to eat ‘Soya Malai Chaap’, ‘Egg Bhurji’, ‘Paneer Pakora’, ‘Mutton Yakhni’ and ‘Pasta Arrabiata’ all in one go, you can easily do that here. As far as flavours, well, they stay on track – more hits than misses. If you are looking to dine at Sip ‘N’ Dine, we recommend you start with the buffet first. In fact, the staff is quick to recommend that as well when you come here. It is value for money and ideal when there are multiple palates to please; although desserts could do with some variety in the buffet. The service is courteous. Finding a table on weekdays is easy but weekends can get busy.
To begin with, the water tasted weird, as if the water filter had not been cleaned in ages. The service is pretty poor. They had to be reminded to get the soup multiple times. When the soup did arrive, it came with the same weird taste. The pasta at the salad counter was stale and smelly, but they wanted us to believe that it was the regular smell of vinegar!!! Overall, sad place to go to. :(
visited there for lunch and preferred buffet system. The food was average in taste but was a good deal for the amount we paid. Service was good. The venue didn't have so much crowd. Calm and good atmosphere.
First of all the service was very poor the waiters were very lazy and rude . Then we ordered soup which was good in taste but not in quantity and price we told them to do 12 halves to which the said that it will charge extra 45 per 1 full . Then the water droplets were continuously dropping on the food from the air conditioner when the problem was told to the waiter they had taken it very casually and not taken any action then comes the food the prices are high and the quantity served was very less the food was good except roti which was pathetic or say even bad than that in 1 st round they served the cold roti which was feeling like they had made it in morning and served in dinner when it was told to the waiter he talked rudely the taste of the roti was like a road side tandoor wala then comes the second round of the roti which were hot but they were looking so bad that you would not like to eat them a non cook can make more good roti than that and in the roti coal was tere which was pathetic then again when told to waiter they had no response then comes the bill in which they had added extra money of soups when it was earlier asked to them of soup and in the bill except of 45 it was written 75 per 1 full plate. I would like to advice the reader to not go to this place they would spoil your mood like anything , if they give food for free then also try at your own risk . I had visited many hotels restaurants for attending parties and birthdays with family but this was the worst experience ever . I would not think ok going here even in my dreams .
The staff was courteous and the service was quick. Menu had extensive options and the food was delicious. Totally worth it.
Restaurant provides excellent buffet lunch, There is good variety of veg and non veg sabzis, roti, lachha paronthas, missi rotis etc. Start with fruits, followed by soup. After lunch in deserts one can have icecream of 4 flavours, cakes, jalebis and gulabjamun. Gulabjamun is very very tasty. Overall truly enjoyable. One can get discounts on Nearbuy and Little.
