Abid's

Free Dessert Per Person.

Abid's is a restaurant in Chetpet, Chennai serving Arabian, biryani and Hyderabadi. Known for Arabian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

Hosted a party for one of our colleagues who had retired. Had deserved a table for 11 for lunch. When we reached, the hotel was empty. However within 20 minutes most tables or 6 the first floor dining facility had filled in. Service was ok with a dedicated person attending to two tables. Food, biriyani and fulka were ok, though some felt the starters were a tad too salty. Surprised to find that falida5 wasn't part of the menu. Tea was good. The hotel has enougg parking for about 4 cars avas few bikes. They have the own chat outlet, though we didn't try it. Being in Chennai, they can probably build a ramp for three differently abled.

Food: Ordered Chicken Dum Biryani and Shawarma Roll. Briyani was typical hyderabadi style but not upto the mark. It was very sour for us , felt too much black cumin was added.
Shawarma Roll was best. People who prefer full chicken ones can order special shawarma roll.

Service: Pathetic to core. No one would attend until we raise our hands. Service will be very slow. Also we went for iftar time. We literally opened our fast with bottled water. Then the waiter / ordering person came and asked do you fast.

Post that they offered free dates and some juice as complementary.

Mistake on our part was we dint inform sooner.

They have separate menu for iftar snacks. Ask for it if you are going to order it. But it's better to buy it down and get it as take away. As dining mostly done for main items which is a separate menu.

Post iftar, 6.30pm prayer is offered in above floor. Those who come to open fast, can go for it and come. Ladies prayer will happen post gents timing.

Overall could have been much much better if service was done right. Especially they should anticipate people would come for opening fast.

We usually go there and it’s a comfortable spot for our family. We used to go every Sunday once. Waiting time is usually long. Hygiene and service are at point. Definitely should check out Nalli Nihari and Hyderabad mutton Briyani. And also thier signature grill menus. Haleem a must try 100 on 100 !

We went there for dinner. We liked their haleem and tangdi kabab. Tangdi kabab very poor portion size. Half plate has only 2 legs. Price is more than average. Decent place.

Always heard good reviews about this restaurant however I had a bad experience when I went solo dining. They gave me the least importance and made me sit in place where there is no fan/ac and I have to go upstairs to wash my hands whereas I was sitting in the ground floor. The good was also very average

Starters were very tasty ,but Schezwan noodles was not spicy and Fried rice was very bland, should've been better. Good atmosphere and good service.

Visited on 7th March with a group of 12 friends during Ramadan. The restaurant was extremely crowded and our Zomato booking had some issues, but the manager Mr. Bargath Ali kindly helped us get a table. The food, especially the biryani, was amazing and the service was wonderful.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to thank him personally before leaving, so I’m expressing my gratitude here. Truly a great experience!

Good parking space
Restaurant has seating but the ground floor is very untidy and the seating is just shabby
The food taste was very mediocre
Haleem was good as always
