Nasi & Mee’s industrial grunge does not shout Asian provenance off every wall, but pops of colour on grey, metal and wood keep give it a cool shophouse air
The menu is tight but varied. Signature Nasi/Mee Goreng and other carbs come with a side of satay, prawn crackers and cucumbers. Salads and grills span across the Indochinese peninsula. The seasoning is astute, and will not turn off unfamiliar palates
Nasi & Mee really outdoes itself with dim sum. Plump Xiao Long Baos consistently hold their hot soup, while I have not seen Har Gaos more delicate at this price-point. Slightly icy texture notwithstanding, the homemade ice cream (especially the lemongrass) jostles with Chendol for a Chennai-friendly dessert.
