The Capital’s popular five-star Dhaba has trucked across the country on Azure Hospitality (the guys behind Mamagoto) to Chennai. It retains the premium Punjabi-pop with heart (& kitchen) of a Dhaba. My meal began shakily with a tart Lassi that missed the customary Dhaba-Malai. It preceded a misadventure into the Awadh with Galouti Kababs roughly the taste and texture of wet atta on a thin tasteless mini parantha. A silken Dal Makhani held its texture sans heavy-cream, thereby passing my Punjabi-acid test. A final high was the Dhaba’s signature Balti Meat. Sturdy, brown and built on deeply savoury caramelized onions. It brimmed on a little balti with a tempting Nalli-end (go for it!) of a lamb shank sticking out.
food great and quantity good , service fine..but adding service charge which is illegal.they said no tables at 2pm..we went at 215..place was almost empty, no need to lie
The restaurant charged service charges over and above CGST and SGST which is against the law. Action needs to be taken for violation of law and overcharging customers wrongly.
Not much options available here. Taste also not that great. Expensive. Service need to be improved. Resturent located inside Ishpahani centre mall.
Nice ambience, good food and crowd. A little costly but worth time spending with friends and North Indian food.
We had a Lunch at Dhaba. Very tasty food, ultimate punjabi style. Interior Decoration was also beautiful.

The delicious food served here leaves the guests licking their fingers everytime they visit this place. Some of the Pulao’s are out of this world like Tawa Chicken Pulao, Tawa Vegetable Pulao, Tawa Mutton Pullao. The platters both vegetarian and non-vegetarian are worth trying. The highlight of Dhaba is pillowy Paneer Tikka, Veg Galouti and Khade Masala Ka Paneer tikka, Mutton Seekh Kebab, Murgh Malai Tikka, Amritsari Machhi and mouth watering Galouti Kebeb. You can also try yoghurts which are very tempting. The variety of drinks offered here have typical Punjabi Names like Tharra the signature cocktails of the Theka, Gulabo-an iced tea mixed with Kaala Khata, Narangi-Fresh lime juice with a little chaat masala, Toofan-Vodka mixed with coriander, spices and Guava Juice. You can also try Basanti which is combination of Gin with fresh Cucumber, basil and few other ingredients.
If you want to try the typical Punjabi Lassi, they serve seven different types of Lassis in a Kullad, which is pretty good. In deserts you can try their sponge Rasgullas and the world’s best Gulab Jamun. In all despite a few teething issues the menu here is absolutely great and satiating.
