Amelie’s first outlet in Chennai was an instant hit among the dessert seekers, but with a limited food menu, it was difficult to please people who wanted more than just desserts. The Café retains its ambience with its coir chairs and the huge dessert display that tickles your visual senses long before they hit your taste buds. The menu retains favourites like the 'Mushroom Chicken Steak' and brings in quirky new dishes like the 'Cornflakes Crusted Chicken Tenders' - a beautifully crunchy outside before the tender chicken hits your palate. Love pesto? You are covered with a "chicken smeared with pesto and grilled". The dessert display is where the best of the action is at. From "Ice Cream Pops" to layered 'Tiramisu', the counter is a sensory overdose, albeit in a beautiful way. Service is friendly.
