Madera is one of the first things that catches your sight as you enter The Raintree. It plays to the tunes of Raintree’s business proposition with a vanilla, casual setting for a relaxed post-work drink. My picks from the bar are the standard classics - martini, whiskey sour and mojito.
It is located on the ground floor inside the Raintree hotel along with Madras and Kitchen Restaurants. Relaxing place for a nice evening out. Feels safer than other lounges in the area.
I am frequently at MADERA after a day of work. It's an ideal place to come down from the room, enjoy a light bite to eat, some chiled beer and big screen cricket. I have also been there on a karaoke night and that was really great way to relax and enjoy the evening
Madera is restaurant in raintree hotel. It is excellent restaurant in all aspects. Great taste of food. They serve north Indian, south Indian , veg , non veg food prepared to perfection. Very good ambiance.Very good service. Little bit high cost is more than justified due to all above plus points. Just go for it.
Recently, my friends and I visited Madera, a contemporary Bar at Hotel Raintree, Chennai. The place looked very spacious. We went in a bit early so found less number of people being seated. The ones who were seated were Expats. However, in an hour or so, we found more people entering the bar. In a few hours, it was packed. The DJ played good music too. One of the nice things about this bar is that it is situated right near the entrance of the hotel. We ordered our drinks and food. The staff, Manager and the DJ were extremely friendly. We had even requested the DJ to play a few songs of our choice and he did. The food was extremely tasty. We loved the Fries and the Chilli Mayonnaise Sauce which came along with it. Then, the Chicken starters were cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. We were there till the Bar closed. They literally pushed us out hahaha. All the staff were very nice chaps. We will continue to visit this place. For all those who are intending to go, do notice the COASTERS, which have faces of eminent personalities of Madras to give you the feel of being in Chennai (previously known as Madras).
Spent a quaint evening and it was very relaxing. The music is managed very well.. Some times they have the groovy foot tapping ones and then they switch to some soul stirring music as well. have been a regular here now and they have good options on the food as well. ambience is good and great place to be if you want to spend some QT time with a loved one.. We go there at least twice a month
The Raintree Hotel in Teynampet, Chennai is home to many fabulous restaurants including one of the hottest bars in the city. Not only is this bar trendy but it has managed to catch attention of many young patrons for its elegant ambience. ‘Madera’ place is ideal if you want to sit and chat over endless amount of drinks and good peppy music. Patrons who come here can sample the nightlife of Chennai in its full glory. The bar is designed more in the lounge like style and is very nicely furnished. You will find no loud colours here. Look is earthy and inviting. The bar is beautifully decorated and spaciously provided. Wide palate of browns and beige is used to define the room with base colour being beige and accent colour being brown. Unlike other bars Madera is brightly lit with contemporary and edgy looking lamps. Music is another plus here. The beats are uplifting and lively capable of elevating your mood instantly.
The service at Madera is friendly and prompt. The staff is always on their toes attentive to your needs. A bartender is the soul of any good bar and can make or break the reputation with his signatures. Out here the bartender will not disappoint you rather his blends will make you come back for more. Madera’s bar menu is wonderfully long and packed with all kinds of labels – domestic and international. Menu features liquors like, aperitifs, premium scotch, single malt, American whisky, Canadian and Irish whisky, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, cognac, brandy, sherry, sake, shochu, liqueurs, beers and shooters. Bartender throws some delicious concoctions together that are not only lethal but lip-smacking. Try, 6th Sip (rum, vanilla, sugar, honey, lime, egg white), Samba Sunset (cachaça, crème de casis, cream and orange juice), East India Cocktail (brandy, raspberry, angostura, cherry, orange) and Mange Tout (tequila, green peas, lime juice, sugar).
Classic cocktails are also available here if you want to throw back some with your friends. For a salty kick munch on, roasted chilli tofu, mamsam vepudu, crispy fried oriental lamb, paneer kathi rolls, peri-peri chicken skewers, spiced cheese cigarillos, tadka style sausages, train wrecked fries, jalapeno cheese poppers, torpedo crumbed prawns with sweet chilli dip, hara bhara kebab, bhuney masaledar kaju, kolkatta Chinese chilli chicken lollipop, murgh kalimiri tikka and masala podi idli. Madera is expensive and heavy on pockets so beware.
