There are bowls of curated organic salts placed on the table for diners. They have been brought from places like Thailand, Morocco and Spain. The presentation of food is pretty simple here. The menu is extensive with specialties from around the world.
For all day dining restaurants, service is operational all day long. You can forget being barred to enter with a polite, ‘restaurant is closed, madam’ or ‘this is the last call for the evening’. You are able to walk in anytime for a lavish meal and expect to be served instantly. The beauty of all day restaurants is being able to enjoy a multi-cuisine menu anytime of the day. Weary travellers or party hoppers are mostly the ones stopping by these places for a quick bite. At all day dining eateries you can always be surprised by witnessing the most unexpected clientele. Normally you might find these sort of places to be visually lacking but there are few with some panache under their belt. ‘Salt Co. 531’ is the one with panache. This gorgeous restaurant is part of the 24X7 dining circuit and is always abuzz with life no matter what the time.
Salt Co. 531 is part of very prestigious Radisson Blu hotel on GST road. It is counted amongst the places that seems to have it all – glamour and gastronomy. It has got flavour down to the point which is one of many reasons for its popularity. As it is open all day long and night, Salt Co. 153 is always brimming with activity. Décor wise the place is gorgeous! You can lose yourself into its sprawling space which is designed to reflect the hotel’s modernity. It’s located in the lobby area so it is easy to access. The open vista however leaves much to desire on the privacy front. Pick a corner table if you have that problem. Otherwise, the restaurant is elegant, stylish, swanky and contemporary in every way.
As we hinted on the global approach of all-day dining restaurants, at Salt Co. 531 it’s completely true. Menu is an extensive one with foraying into Continental, Asian, Mexican, Italian and American cuisine. Dining here is pretty expensive so check on that. Ask the bartender to make you a nice cocktail before hitting the food side. For appetizers they offer, whisky BBQ nachos, podi idly, texas buffalo wings, quesadilla, coconut prawns, margandam soup and bruschetta. Main course section takes you on a joy ride of flavours with, grilled tofu melt, Thai curry, jambalaya risotto, domburi, New Zealand lamb rack, meen varuval, pizza, burger, pasta and so much more. Kids get their own menu, a fact we find cute.
