A bright and cheerful place, Vasco’s packed covers can get pretty chaotic during rush hours, like the Sunday brunch. You might have side-step gleeful kids who seem to be running all over the place to get to their extensive spread of cold cuts, mezze and cutesy cold appetizers. Not so great are the insipid Sushi and limited options for live stations or made to order appetizers. The service, which can be hard to get a hold of at first, does try their best to elevate your experience.
This place is good for the ambience and the price is also very reasonable compared to other restaurants.
The service and food were excellent The chef is very accommodating and prepares anything you want. Nice selection of south Indian cuisine.
Hilton Chennai is the best looking Hilton’s amongst the ones i have visited, the lobby has been designed tastefully and the pathway to the restaurant gives you a glimpse of the beautiful bar lounge and the vasco’s is a pretty huge & cool with the view of the chennai metro and we went for the lunch buffet and the spread of the buffet was literally massive and one of the fewest 5 stars serving sushi and teppyanki in buffets at lunch and the taste of the food and desserts was good, service was great and overall a wonderful experience! Buffet Included: • 2 Soups (1 Veg & 1 Non-Veg) • 4 Starters (2 Veg & 2 Non-Veg) • Salads • Make Your own Salad • 8 Continental Main Course • 6 Indian Main Course • 6 Asian Main Course • Live Station - Pasta, Pizza, Teppanyaki Counters • 13 variety of Bakery Desserts • 4 Indian Desserts • Variety of Ice Creams Cost: 1820 AI/ Per Head
Vasco. Great spaghetti to order: red sauce, basil, garlic with chicken. Exactly what I was looking for. Tried some of the cashew chicken and pork in chili sauce with steam rice. Very tasty and tender! Staff very friendly, courteous, and eager to make sure you have a pleasant experience. Chef Raj was keen on making sure the experience and the food was on point.
The staff were very helpful and courteous and went out of their way to accommodate guest culinary needs. Met Shateen, an intern who was learning some great skills in the hotel and food industry at Vasco's. As I mentioned in my review of Hilton, the food at the Hilton had lots of quantity but it lacked quality in taste. There was a myriad of food choices, Indian, Chinese and western. I ate food that I knew would not disappoint me- omelet, Idly and 3 Indian dishes. I found much of the food lacked a tantalizing taste. The coffee was a major disappointment. It was instant black coffee that came from a large coffee dispenser. I ordered one day Masala Chai and I was instead served strong black tea with milk added. Masala chai has spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, etc.
