Scarlet is the eye-catching open-air concept by Amuse House with a lovely view of the greens behind Ansal Plaza. Its circular dining area is set around a bar and picks up its party shoes over the weekend. Scarlet’s menu spans across Indian, Italian and Middle-eastern dishes with pretty plates, while the bar churns out a handful of classic cocktails. I preferred a well-balanced 'Orange & Elderflower Spritzer' to the rather roughly blended Mojito. The 'Chicken & Thyme Soup' was followed by a delicious 'Chicken Tikka Makkhani Toast' with succulent cubed chicken tikka on buttery toasted pavs. 'Chickpea and Mint Falafels' were light, moist and studded with sesame for added crunch. Another hit was the 'Risotto with Chicken' with al-dente rice, chicken-ey intensity and a silky body added cream. 'Scarlet’s Crispy Chicken Leg' had more breading than a drumstick.
