Known for serving authentic Japanese and Asian food, Kofuku is a casual dining restaurant with a beautiful décor which will remind you of Japan. The subtle interiors and fall lights make the place perfect for romantic dates and dinner. One would be mad to miss their Sushi Platter which is a delight for Sushi lovers. The Mochi Ice cream is a must order and perfect way to end your meals with.
I planned a dinner along with a family and disapointing started from the very first thing when we asked for the wine list , they had just a few lables to offer mostly indian and not even single frence wine he could offer me.The food also was just okay as compared to my last visits. All together i dont think i will be repeat this outlet again.
This place has a real Japanese feel to it with the low tables and separated booths. Make sure you are wearing shoes that are easy to remove if you sitting at one of these booths. The sashimi moriwase platter was fresh fish. The miso soup was good.
I recently went to Kofuku to try some japanese cuisine.. The Black Cod in Miso is the must try food.. it's so delicious.. also the sushi are really great.. We tried Crispy Roll which is Maki with crab, avocado and cream cheese.. Also Sea Food Hotpot also called seafood vegetable nabe, you must try. it's a delicious traditional japanese stew. You can make choice between shoyu sauce or spicy sauce. For appetiser try Edamame bean, it's a preparation of immature soyabeans .
If you looking for authentic Japanese cuisine in Delhi, you must try Kofuku-Great ambience, awesome food, extremely polite staff and very good service. Unlike dry sushi’s that we get elsewhere, their sushi was prepared fresh and was moist. No loud music. So you can actually sit and enjoy conversation and food in a little private corner with low seated tables. It’s a different and an unusual restaurant in Delhi with beautiful interiors that transport you to Tokyo. Food is beautifully plated and served well. Try their Sunday brunches or wines paired with different foods. They have wine socials on last Saturday of the month with free-flowing wines and canapés for 3 hours for an amazing offer. You would be completely blown by its Japanese style ambience, seatings, decor, etc. Their first outlets were in Mumbai. In Delhi, currently, they are only in Ansal Plaza. Must try and experience.
After the closing down of Tamura and Sakura in Delhi, there was a need for a genuine Japanese restaurant in New Delhi and that too away from the 5 star hotels. To my mind KOFUKU is the only one in Delhi to qualify, with a sake festival currently on there. Traditional Japanese welcome , range of Sake , traditional seating arrangement and good sashimi are some of the Japanese trademarks of this restaurant. We had the wasabi ginger in mocktails , made with an extra dose of wasabi. It was good and potent. If having wasabi for the first time, then BE CAREFUL !!! We had the spicy edamame (soybean with peel) to go with the wheat beer and the traditional platter of salmon sushi and sashimi. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
