Delhi’s first co-working space clubbed into café with interiors that sees unfinished brick walls, recyclable furniture and the view of Hauz Khas lake makes this place buzzworthy. The menu here comes in a tabloid format and napkins are a lookalike to toilet rolls. From the quirky cocktail menu, 'Thai Maalish' - a gin-based concoction served in a coconut shell is win-win. The 'Mutton Baida Roti', with a heavy filling of mutton and eggs, rolled in a crispy roti with green apple mint chutney is addictive. Next, arrive the 'Awesomosas', the Social’s signature samosas and the 'Pork Belly Pops' - that is tossed with curry powder pairs well with their signature LIIT’s. Moving next, the 'Ghee Roast Mutton Bao' sees a burst of flavours from down South the moment you take a big bite. From the dessert section, 'Ramesh Suresh' that is a fried Five Star chocolate, and, old school 'Layer Cake' with layers of dark chocolate and caramel mousse, are worth indulging in. The 'Lamba Khamba' offer allows you to order a full bottle on reduced prices.
There are only a few names in the bar industry that can walk away with any gimmick and even the most average of ambience just on their name alone and that name is Social. Social has given casual drinking a new definition by opening up several outposts across Delhi NCR in short span of years. However, its one branch is far more popular than its every other outlet combines and i.e. Hauz Khas Social. This bar is one of the prettiest nightspots in town and takes full advantage of its lush, history-soaked location, which makes it hardest places to get into on weekends. Within touching distance of the reservoir in Hauz Khas Village, South Delhi, Hauz Khas Social is just the place to blend mood and nightlife.
No matter what you feel like drinking, we assure you Hauz Khas Social will have it. An impressive selection of beers, malts and signature cocktails pulls even the staunchest of tipplers to Socials doorstep. Artisan cocktails are their USP and worth checking out. Food-wise, Hauz Khas Social is designed to amaze. Their food menu is eclectic, varied and brimming with comforting innovation. This is one of the few bars in the city to serve breakfast. After you get your drink, order yourself a few appetizers. Binge on, momos from hell, pork belly pops, croquettish, Joses jalapeno chicken tikka, gunpowder calamari, death wings, almond Tikki chaat, and fish tacos. The culinary fun continues with an assortment of mains like, chilly & black pepper chicken bao, OMG burger, Black Label butter chicken, 4 cheese pizza, grilled chicken peri-peri sizzler, Social keema spaghetti, and Burmese Khao suey.
Opt for a China box to avoid confusion. The bar doesn't fail to surprise you with its final sweet course as well. The Elvis Presley French toast, Old Monk cassata sundae, sticky toffee pudding, chocolate blood bath and PBJ & bacon amazeballs with vanilla ice cream, are some of the desserts we stand by firmly. Live music in evenings keeps the mood elevated. Hauz Khas Social is one of the first bars to introduce Delhi to co-working space merging into caf. A certain section is fully dedicated to workspace and is a little quieter than rest of the bar. Bar is simply sprawling, flowing into charming indoor-outdoor spaces that are designed for comfort and ease. Unfinished, industrial theme is what they are going for. Prices are surprisingly reasonable.
