    Taking Japanese food a notch further is ‘Konomi’ of Trident. The restaurant has made a name for itself by serving traditional Japanese and Non-Japanese food it its patrons. To maintain the authenticity they import their seafood from Tsukiji, Tokyo. ‘Wasabi By Morimoto’ is a joint venture between Taj group and celebrity Iron chef Masaharu Morimoto. The acclaimed chef lends his expertise to the kitchen meanwhile his hungry patrons eagerly dine on his lovely creations. Sushi, sashimi and whitefish carpaccio is outstanding. This restaurant has to be most picturesque Japanese restaurant in the city. ‘En’ at Mehrauli is housed in a charming heritage building overlooking the majestic Qutub Minar. Opt for a private dining room while nibbling on traditional Japanese fare. In a busy market of Lodhi colony, one would never guess the presence of a quaint Japanese restaurant ‘Guppy By Ai’. The restaurant has a bit of quirky, eccentric air which is adored by the local foodies. The ramen noodles and black cod with miso are the best dishes here.


    A product of a celebrity chef who has done his time at Nobu is ‘Akira Back’. The restaurant is pride of the Chef Akira who is renowned for dishing modern Japanese food. Akira Back is a pricey place so be prepared to drop a hefty sum here. ‘Benihana’ at Epicuria Mall is a very traditional looking although elegant restaurant serving delicious Japanese food. Do ask to be seated at the Teppanyaki counter to witness the magic up close. The food may not be traditionally Japanese but is lip-smacking nonetheless. Japanese restaurants in Delhi comes in the package of elegance, deliciousness and great ambience. Most of them carry a heavy celebrity name with them and are an expensive lot but are the right traditional kinds to foray into the Japanese culture. All of the establishments are pretty well known amongst the food circuit and has a loyal fan base.
