A unit of Pullman Hotels, New Delhi, Honk is a multi-cuisine restaurant that capitalizes Japanese, Thai and Chinese cuisines. Supervised by the chef Deepak Malhotra, it is bursting with creativity. They have a nice contemporary setting without and overtly Pan-Asian theme which is full of stereotypical nuances. They have a nice collection of music which not explicitly “Zen-inspired”. The food journey begins with rolls made with asparagus and avocado, ‘Dim Sum’ - a chili bean and radish filling wrapped up in glass noodle pockets, for the mains, one can try their ‘Goong tod Kratiem' - prawns fried with garlic and white pepper or ‘Exotic Asian Vegetables in Brown Chilli Garlic Sauce’. They have set menus named ‘Celebration’ - comprising salads, rolls, dimsums, soup, mains, noodles or rice and a dessert.
Falesh was a fantastic host. I asked him for his recommendations from the menu and dishes he suggested were delicious. I asked him lot of questions and he was gladly answering all the questions.
Let’s be frank. I am a regular customer of Honk since 2016 and I have never been disappointed on the food side. I have my favorites, amongst which the tuna avocado tartare which I recommend even if some might fear eating raw fish in India. Have eaten it 10 times without issue... Why I would improve, as for Pluck, the other restaurant of the Pullman is the wine list.

Pan Asian cuisine is Honk’s forte and they present it quite well with the help of some stunning crockery ordered from Belgian design houses. Without doubt Honk is one of the best dining spaces in Delhi and that is the compliment of the highest order. Honk’s Pan Asian menu covers cuisines from Vietnam, Thailand and Japan, preparing them authentically and still using their creativity to improve them. Opt for the set menu and let the chef woo you with his talent or have more control over your food selection by going a la carte way. Commence the menu through mushroom tempura, stuffed wings with Thai herbs, crispy lumpia roll, softshell crab roll, sashimi, nigri, Vietnamese grilled chicken, edamame and dumplings. Pair some steamed jasmine rice or fried noodles with an array of delicious curries like, massaman curry, braised lamb, Thai red curry, ma po tofu and Thai basil Singapore chili shrimps.
The variety is most impressive and you are bombarded with a plethora of scrumptious choices. Honk keeps a fantastic dessert menu as well to complement its excellent main course menu. Jasmine crème brulee, trio of ice cream, warm ginger cake and caramel chocolate & peanut parfait is decadent. The main dining space of Honk is stunningly designed and gives the idea of affluence and opulence. The elegant dining room is vast in size and wraps around a patch of greenery with tall seamless picture windows. Their interiors are classy, modern and very attractive. Honk is an expensive entity yet it across completely worth it in every sense.
